TDoherty Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Perhaps Jenolan Caves or Bathurst for lunch and if Bathurst a visit to the track museum?! Quote
Dionysus Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Hey PB How long did you guys drive for yesterday? An idea for a shorter run would be through National Park down to Scarborough Hotel either leaving early for a breakfast drive or a little later for lunch. It's about 1.5-2hrs outside of the CBD.Thanks John Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted March 21, 2016 Author Moderators Posted March 21, 2016 Hi John The actual group drive from Windsor to Wiseman's was only about 45mins. There is another way to get there and I came back that way, it takes about 1:45 from Wiseman's to the start of the Old Pac Hwy. We haven't had a run down south for a while so that could be a goer. I personally think a run with a group drive of around 2 would work well. Cheers PB Quote
shaun240 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 + 1 for a run through the Royal National Park down to Scarborough Hotel. Would be ideal to do this early morning as the traffic can get pretty heavy on weekends. Quote
George Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I'm in for RNP early morning run. Always a fun cruise down that way. Quote
Cozza Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Yep, lock me in for the Natio. Gotta be early to beat those cyclist speed jumps though. Quote

Bathurst is great idea, drove back via Bells Line today. I was thinking of a run to Bathurst timed to align with "Challenge Bathurst 2016" at the start of December. TDoherty 1 Quote

Sounds like we have a plan.I will have a look at timing and meeting places etc and modify the first post with proposed time, attendees etc. Edited March 23, 2016 by PB260Z Quote
George Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Yep, lock me in for the Natio. Gotta be early to beat those cyclist speed jumps though. No chance of beating them. They'll be heading back when we're heading south. :-/ Quote

Cozza Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Very fitting. Just got into bed and listening to some bikes giving it some up Audley hill. Quote
Dionysus Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Not sure if you have a specific meet up location yet PB but if you're after one maybe consider Southgate shopping centre Sylvania. Down the road from Loftus and at that time in the morning should be pretty empty. Here's a map a spent hours on working out the entry points. Quote
George Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Loftus Oval carpark is probably easier. Right next to Farnell Av. (RNP entry) and always enough space. https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Loftus+Oval/@-34.0512078,151.0508907,365m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x6b12c0d80f526c65:0xc078a48a141a4074 Dionysus 1 Quote

Moderators PB260Z Posted March 28, 2016 Author Moderators Posted March 28, 2016 Just a thought! Went for a drive over the weekend from the Mountains to Wollombi Tavern, nice drive also! Hi, Haven't been that way for a while will keep it mind for a future run. Seems most of the great roads are in North & North West. I am actually looking foward to a run that originates on the southern side of town. Cheers PB TDoherty 1 Quote
