Ten years is a long time and should be marked with some kind of celebration .So what would people would want from this ? Just putting a thought out there? Quote

Bonkers Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 NDN2015 will by all accounts be the event to be at this year. Good to see ZCCQ Auszcar members pushing it and helping organising it. But the closing date for that event is only just over 3 weeks away.If your going to that event, I am guessing you would have made up your mind to enter by now or will be doing so very soon. You would have already or will let other Auszcar members know you are going. So there is a event to meet at for some of us . But it may be short notice for members of this forum to attend as a birthday celebration for Auszcar. I am also not sure how ZCCQ may take to it as well . They do not wish the event to become Z centric as the nationals is open to all makes of cars. You only need to be a member of a Nissan ,Datsun car club to enter and hold a CAMS licence for the speed events. It doesn't matter what make or type of car you enter with. Dubbo, now that's old school. Canberra is a good choice and so is the Christmas events for the Eastern sea board . But Tasmania has stuck its hand up to want to do something or have an event ,like a classic day or perhaps a Christmas BBQ . May be we should hear what they have to say on the idea ? Quote
dat2kman Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 All AusZcar forum members could just simply turn up to the Z CCQ Nationals, as spectators, entry into Morgan Park, as a spectator is totally free, we can all park together, and enjoy what is being put on by the zccq. Plenty of other Datsun enthusiasts will be doing jst this. No need for cams lcenses or being a member of one particular club over another. Should be a great weekend to catch up and check out the cars. Quote

Perhaps a general BBQ in every state with all pictures shared on the forum? A nationwide gathering of sorts? Quote

Just getting to Qld is $$$ enough, but then you got accomodation for 3-4 nights, and then, to get maximum track, show, dinner, merchandise etc time, another 7-800 on top! Quote
260DET Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Nationals aren't about money, they are about the Zed community getting together and having Zed fun and having an adventure holiday too. I went to the last one at Phillip Island from Brisbane which is significantly further than from, say, Warwick to Melbourne no problem. Actually Warwick is very accessible from south as it's right on the Cunningham Highway, plus there are no PITA big city traffic congestion and navigation issues. The Z Car Club has already booked reasonably priced accommodation for NDN15 visitors, it's all laid on ready to go. Actually I feel sorry for anyone who can't understand what NDN's are all about, they are missing out on an experience any true enthusiast would appreciate Quote
