Cliff Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Looking for L24 - 145319 and L24 - 145151 Quote
PeterH Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I have an L26 engine that came with my 240Z. I doubt that I will ever have a need for it and while I hadn't planned on actively trying to sell it I was thinking that perhaps it might be the original engine from some ones car on here. The number is " L26 119086 " . If that is the case I'd be happy to part with it. Please note that this is the bare block only. I bought the car and parts from Melbourne. Pete Quote
Yellowzed Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Hi, I'm looking for L24 - 053832. I have the L28 - 109019, which was running when it was pulled out of the car about 20 years ago and has been sitting since. Obviously I'd need an L24 before parting with the L28! Thanks, Don Quote

Linus Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Hi, new here but my 'barn find' 260z 2+2 is supposed to be fairly original and low klms from original owner, how can you tell if it is matching numbers? its a 77 GRS30 015749 (PLATES MATCH) L26 ENGINE IS L26 164962 ..... I think thats all the numbers I can see. thanks L Quote
GongZ Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Hi Linus - it should have a factory build plate like this... Quote
Linus Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 It does but ot only has engine type 'l26' on it...not engine number. Quote
OdinZ Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 How odd...I have noticed on the WA Register as couple of GRS have the same plate with no engine number on, just L26. But from what I can tell, your engine number looks pretty close to your VIN compared to the others listed there. http://www.wazregister.com/index.php?title=View_ANZIS30_Register Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 23, 2018 Author Administrators Posted March 23, 2018 European and Japanese market cars often didn't have the # stamped on the ID plate. Just the type.. As far as I know all Australian delivered cars should have the L26 engine no. on them, but perhaps were imports from other markets? NZ perhaps? *Edit then again it shouldn't have a compliance plate if it was an import I think? Quote
GongZ Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 (edited) here are tags I notice that your build plate is also smaller than usual - but the car's body has the holes for the normal sized plate. Edited March 23, 2018 by GongZ Quote
OdinZ Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 GongZ Mine is the same in terms of mounting.....maybe a small change from the earlier GRS30s Quote
kamarchi Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I would happily purchase my original engine should it ever turned up. L24-155995 Quote
