I have an L26 engine that came with my 240Z. I doubt that I will ever have a need for it and while I hadn't planned on actively trying to sell it I was thinking that perhaps it might be the original engine from some ones car on here. The number is " L26 119086 " . If that is the case I'd be happy to part with it. Please note that this is the bare block only. I bought the car and parts from Melbourne.

Hi, I'm looking for L24 - 053832.

I have the L28 - 109019, which was running when it was pulled out of the car about 20 years ago and has been sitting since. Obviously I'd need an L24 before parting with the L28!

Thanks,

Don

I recently bought L24-189771

I also have L24-189707 (but that is the original engine from my car) and L24-077920

from darellet's '72 240Z which was fitted with a Chev 350 and sold by him in 1989

- current whereabouts unknown.

Do you think it could be this car?

Hi, new here but my 'barn find' 260z 2+2 is supposed to be fairly original and low klms from original owner, how can you tell if it  is matching numbers?

its a 77

GRS30 015749 (PLATES MATCH)

L26

ENGINE IS L26 164962  ..... I think thats all the numbers I can see.

European and Japanese market cars often didn't have the # stamped on the ID plate. Just the type.. As far as I know all Australian delivered cars should have the L26 engine no. on them, but perhaps were imports from other markets? NZ perhaps?

*Edit then again it shouldn't have a compliance plate if it was an import I think?

I notice that your build plate is also smaller than usual - but the car's body has the holes for the normal sized plate.

Mine is the same in terms of mounting.....maybe a small change from the earlier GRS30s
