Wanted: 260z Air Con Setup

Hey guys I am chasing an air con setup for my 260z. I do have some bits and pieces to it but if I can source a complete setup or if you have some parts laying around let me know as it could be something I am missing.

I spied some bits on Gordo's parts car at the Christmas BBQ. Perhaps he may help you with the parts you need.

I have an old 260z air con compressor I think. Not sure if it works though, never tested it.

Just putting the baby to sleep at the moment but will get pictures of what I have and update the thread shortly. Pretty sure I need a compressor (I have the mount).

Make sure it spins freely by putting a spanner on the center bolt and giving it a twist. RB30 Compressors and similar later model Nissan compressors (CA20 and such) fit and may be more efficient too.

alright here is the parts that I do have.

 

Compressor Bracket

 

Blower Fan (really not AC related but meh)

 

Some form of heater box or something (sorry I suck at parts)

 

Condensor (with only one line on it).

 

So if anybody can help me out with whats missing either by letting me know what I need or if you have some parts that would be great.

Ok what you have is a budget aftermarket setup. It's Still ok but (trails off into the distance.....)

 

The bracket is homemade and has no tensioner pulley from what i can see. I like the genuine stuff but it's getting harder to find. The best part to get for these setups is the original heater box with evaporator, once you have that everything can be adapted like the lines, condenser and later model compressor. I would strongly recommend getting onto Gordon and asking if he can pull the bits out for you. There's jay in Ballarat who has the same gear but he's prices are full on retail. If you get stuck let me know and i'll go wave some cash in front of Jay's nose and get him to bite.

Yep, it's all there. Just missing the compressor and passenger side lines which are easy to reproduce. I know this because i set up air con in my other Zed. I'll travel to gordo's and get all the stuff you need. I done seen it with my own eyes!!!

Don't want to undermine Mark but I have 260Z/280ZX cmprsrs, mounting brkt not sure bout tnsnr unit, very good air lines that I got from Wildy55

  only needed some of the parts I got from him. If Mark can't help you out PM me.

              G'day Adam, you might be better off going with Nick's set up, apparently he has the complete set up & frght cost will be a lot cheaper   

              for you plus your assured of having everything you need. I'm happy to drop out but can't speak for Mark.

It happens all the time that people often chime in later on who have the parts. I'm not fussed as it's all about what Adam wants, i know others will be looking for air con down the track.

Will still grab the compressor off mark as it will be handy to have a spare anyway. Alan if you think I'm better off checking out the other system I will go that path.
