Extra Info: During the time I've owned it I've replaced or repaired most of the mechanical parts.  It has a new radiator, new starter motor, new alternator and a gearbox that has been refreshed with a new 5th gear.  It has an L26 engine with a cam, 40PHH Mikuni Solex triple carbs, extractors and sports exhaust.  It also has front and rear strut braces and a Momo Prototipo steering wheel.  Just about everything on this car works, it has been my daily driver the whole time I've owned it so I've kept it in good running condition.  The car has had a front and rear Wilwood vented disc brake conversion from Arizona Z Car which really helps it to stop on a dime, and brake fade is almost non-existent for me.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the disc brake conversion the car is missing handbrake calipers, so the handbrake does not work.  You can order handbrake calipers that will bolt right onto the rear disc brake conversion from Arizona Z Car.  I don't anticipate this conversion having any trouble getting an engineers certificate once the calipers are attached.

You should really do something with those air filters, they are so dirty and really detract from the engine bay.

Have AZC actually released a handbrake solution for the Willwoods yet?

Hey man,  here's the link for their parking caliper.  From memory he quoted me US$200 plus shipping costs.

As for the engine bay - it's my daily driver, not a show car.  This is how a car engine bay looks when you actually drive it.  Oh snapz.

from the point of anyone selling ANYTHING, that is probably the most irritating question to be asked, that should be followed up with an answer of "whats the highest you'll pay?"

Have you lost all ability to haggle a price? cant be stuffed at all?

If you are actually interested in buying the item and have some respect for the person selling it, you'd PM them and negotiate a fair price that you both agree on.

It may take some back and forth, but that is how 'negotiation' works.

ne·go·ti·a·tion

/nəˌgōSHēˈāSHən/

Noun

1  Discussion aimed at reaching an agreement: "a worldwide ban is currently under negotiation".

2  The action or process of negotiating: "negotiation of the deals".

Synonyms

parley - talk

Yeah, just saw it.... :'(

I cant undertand why you would part out such a good all around zed.

My guess is they are doing an engine swap. Selling of bits to fund it perhaps?

Chris240, I removed the suspension, brakes and engine as I already had these available and I needed the funds to cover the additional cost of purchasing the car. The suspension was a little bit tired in the 240z but the rest of the car is in good condition. The parts sold have gone to good homes so far. I will continue to tidy up the car over time and plan to use it regularly. Don't worry, I am not parting out the brown 240z. I am looking for a brown seat trim kit though..

Yeah I bought that motor so I hope it is all right I want to put it into my 240z that is being resprayed.

The reason the seller pulled the motor was he had another z that had been written off but he wanted to keep his injected running gear so I am happy that I got the motor for mine as I was going to buy webers and do all the work to my old non matching motor any way and my trans needed rebuilding and I am doing another car so it saved me a lot I hope it is a good runner that won't need to much work to it.

The motor is back in my shed in Geelong sitting in front of my other car waiting for my z to be painted, thanks Michael.
