Hey Guys Hope everyone is doing well Been a month or so since my last post, been quite busy work wise. Also been waiting for the running gear to get put in the car and its taking longer that I expected. Spoke to the guys next door to were my car is and they just keep putting off doing the work to m car, its a little frustrating waiting. I wish I had the tools and equipment to put it together at my place but due to having no working area or tools its just easier to get someone to do it for you. Also have paid cash for all the work that has been done and all the purchases the guys have bade just dont understand Since the running gear was sitting at the workshop I took it in and gave it a good clean and gave it a good lick of saturn black. Looks quite nice after the paint dried up just needs to go in the car now lol. So I as I wait I have been looking up different LSD options for the R200 and I'm tossing between a Kaaz two way or a OS Giken and I wanted to see what experience some of you guys have had and if there is any feedback on the two products. Thanks guys, hopefully wont be too long but an considering taking the running gear elsewhere but other than SW dont know anyone reliable

Yeah I think that the lower end will decline for the short term but I also think the higher end of the market will keep their values. There always is that percentage of people who still have money to spend regardless of how the economy is going.

Is it time to start buying up? https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/what-the-coronavirus-outbreak-means-for-the-collector-car-market/

@specialp3 the Mighty Car Mods guys got their Fairlady Z insured with Shannons for 100K and they didn't do a full resto, just running gear upgrade. Possibly will need to take the car into their head office in your state to get a better valuation.

Rudolfs 2+2: The gleaming emerald......
JDM-TOY replied to CroS13's topic in Members Project(s) Journal
@CroS13 Brother have faith in God and keep yourself safe and take precautions to reduce your risk. Congratulations on the baby champ, keep your focus on your new blessing in your life and dont let anything distract you from your new joy. @gav240z Congrats to you too champ, very happy news. -
Yeah Im surprised that the manufacturer's didn't address this prior to manufacturing the cars. Its like the new Toyota Hilux engines blowing smoke. Toyota knew this issue existed 5 years proir to selling the new Hilux and now have a big issue to deal with. Different issue but they still knew

Hey guys Just some pictures of the Nitto gaskets for the intake side and Nitto oil head drain. Also had the factory intake powder coated.
-
Hey guys Been a while since my last update. Had to wait a while to have work done on the RB26 engine. Replaced the standard oil pump with a Nitto High Flow pump due to the power upgrade. I really didn't want to starve the engine from oil so we put in a head drain and connected it to the sump. New timing belt, water pump rear main seal, new metal intake and manifold gaskets. New twin plate clutch to hopefully sustaine the high HP. Eneine should be in soon, will put up pictures as it progresses. Yada Yada Yada

Cars For Sale (3rd Party Sites) Ebay, Carsales etc..
JDM-TOY replied to gav240z's topic in Cars For Sale
Very nice car, definitely worth the money. I thought this car belonged to Charles with the white RB260Z in Queensland that sold a year or so ago -
@CBR Jeff Thanks Jeff I will definitely hit them up for a bell and If they decline I will threaten them woth fair training lol. @KatoKid Hey Dave thanks heaps I will definitely check out the link and FB pages. Yeah your right about the X- Caliber 8 it is a much better optioned bike. I feel if I was to keep the Marlin 7 I would need to do the upgrade down the track or if worth it upgrade parts on the Marlin 7. Even though you are right I dont want to make the jump for now to the X-Caliber 8, Lets see how I go with getting back into riding and enjoying the sport again. I might even find a good deal within the FB pages. Cheers Youhan

Hi Jeff Thanks for your reply Yes I agree, I wont be doing any hardcore tracks or long distance courses I don't think the X-Caliber 8 wont suit my needs, the guy at the shop said the same thing. I think as I get more experience and want to excel in XC or Enduro will consider an upgrade The Marlin 7 is $899 plus on dirt/road costs such as bottle holder, wider saddle for those cheeks, bottle mount, stand and minus Bupa 10% setting me back just over $920 which is no too bad for s decent bike. I think I will shop around for other accessories for when I need them but I did forget the bell, dammit!

Hey Lads Happy New Year to all I wanted to see if I could get some advice on purchasing a MTbike. I have been at my local Trek bike shop and have been looking at two different bikes. I initally had my eyes set on a Marlin 7 but after looking at a couple of other bikes Im also considering the X-Caliber 8 a bigger price difference at $1499 from the Marlin 7 $800 or so. Im heading to the bike shop again today to have another look but would live to hear your feedback. This will be my first bike in a few years to get me back into things Cheers Youhan

Seriously I wish I could move the family to Melbourne, Sydney is so depressing with everyone stressed out with this fast paced environment. Although Im notbsure if Melbourne is heading down that path But not to happy with the current gang culture and fanatics around Melbourne. Hate going to the CBD and being handed pamphlets that I did not ask for.....

Congrats on the property champ Love the multi-level garage idea with a car lift would be epic but excavation costs heaps and deceiving as to how much land you would need to cut and fill. We had the side of our place excavated 3 weeks ago for a retaining wall approx 20meters by 1.5meters and it set us back 12K as it was mostly rock. Yeah estate agents frustrate me, hate dealing with them. I would rather give Warren Potter a call than deal with an agent lol (not)

@gav240z This is for you champ, some inspiration for the new house https://www.realestate.com.au/news/10-of-the-most-impressive-garages/?rsf=syn:news:nca:rea:news-strap

Hey @kamarchi we had the mounts fabricated and I purchased a RWD sump from a nissan patrol as they have a big rear sump. We fabricated the sump to hold 8 litres as I have purchased a Nitto high volume oil pump.
-
Some more better pictures Paint looks really nice except for a small section of paint run on the rear passenger quarter next to the bumper moulding and a few dust particles on the edge of the roof on the passenger side.
-
Sounds good Gavin, when you planning on moving?
-
It does look like a dune buggy loll. Thanks Dave, will look better once put back together under a clear sky
-
Seriously if anyone wants them you can take them. I dont have the space at the new place
-
You can pick them up after I slip on the Watanabes lol
-
With great joy I would like to post these pictures up. Haven't seen the car in person, heading out there later this afternoon. Cant wait to change those ugly wheels Enjoy

I somewhat agree
