hey guys, before i upload on gumtree, im cleaning the shed, and decided to let go of some parts, i have an l26 engine complete, Hitachi carbs, control arms,front struts, dash with only one crack, 2 seats with new trim,original wheels, i also have centre line wheels to suit with nice dish and new tires, stainless steel fuel tank custom made to re use the original gauges ..lots more parts, pm me what your after and if i have it ill let you know. havent decided on price yet, we all have z's and know what the parts are worth so make me a genuine offer and will take it from there, location sydney George thanks guys

have you tried automotive wax and grease remover? it wont harm the paint inside the tank, then run hot water to vaporise the tank before u put petrol in it, i used to build road tankers and fuel tanks. i done my tank my self, its not rocket science, i degased the tank, un stitched the lips and split it into 2 cause i had to panel beat it and get to some surface rust, welded it back together and got the special fuel tank paint and re coated it, its been 3 years and no problem wat so ever...

hi mate,if you want to carry out work on the tank like welding or any type of work, you have to de-gas the tank with hot water for at least half an hour min, take the plugs out and run hot water through it without pressure and the vapour of the hot water carries the fuel with it and vaporises out the tank.

i was gonna do it but cost allot of money after doing the resto so i left the six, a good v8 is the lexus ls400 4.8ltr v8, its an aluminium block and you can get it engineered, in nsw the maximum you can do is 5ltr v8 for a 2 seater...

i have a stainless steel one custom made so u can use the original fuel gage, but i never installed it as i decided to repair the original one i had..if your interested let me know mate

your welcome..they do the lot george, they done my booster, the rear brake cylinders aswell, if they cant help, then no one can, pretty much every one in sydney deals with them when it come to that stuff,and they are very reasonable.

George if you ever need your brakes done or parts, these guys are the best, they actually had slave cylinders, clutch and brakes also, of the shelf to suit the 260z, they are the best. they called burt bros automotive in fairfield. they also refurbish etc. http://www.burtbrosautomotive.com.au/

the only problem with harrrys parra is you wont be able to drive the z up in that parking cause the driveway is steep and if your z is low, your gonna rip that front.. thats if you guys only wanna chill, however if we going for a cruise then as a meeting point its fine and head off for a drive to another place . the time and date is fine for me aswell.

Hey guys im in and happy to bring the z out and meet everyone for the first time, hopefully no rain and safe parking is a must for the z lolll also just another suggestions for other places with plenty parking wether its at night or a meeting point for a day cruise, harrys cafe d wheels liverpool. theres also a wood fired pizza place, donuts etc.. cheers George.

hey guys, im george and new to the forum but not to z's loll had 3 of them for more then 15 years, im the owner of the silver 260z damaged shell, i tried to introduce my self and also put the car up here first however after so many attempts, it didnt go through so i gave up loll....the accident happened years ago when 260z'z where worth nothing. so i wasn't gonna spend thousands fixing it when i could buy a complete one for $5000 max..so i decided to use it as a donor and save the other one i have sitting in my shed.it was hard to see her in that state cause i just finished the resto on it and got caught on a set of traffic lights, a guy hit me from behind and pushed me in 4 cars up the hill. the z really saved my life. however its time to let her go and help other z guys with there build. i just finished last year my other z resto and enjoy driving it every weekend lol so sydney z boys hurry up so we can cruise loll. the car isnt written of cause neither the guy or me had insurance at the time so it can still be registered. im happy to help out other z guys, like i said it still has plenty of healthy skin, specially where most zeds rust.
