  1. Yeah three teams of four. As per usual though QR screwed up big time and forced Dusty and Cameron to pull out so my race partner and I could run. Individually a few people did well but as a team most of us either pulled out early or were forced to try and sustain times with 23 other cars on the track. In the end it was nice to get the car out on the track but I wouldn't do another reg organised by QR.
  2. That's great, cheers man
  3. It was a fun day, had some problems but nothing we didn't really expect being the car's first time out. The major one was losing fuel out of hungry, got to the point where I just had nothing lol It was good seeing a few of you up there, put some pics up if you got them Quick vid for yas
  4. Dave will be there.... haha
  5. Yeah, most of us won't be making the Sunday. A big day on Saturday is good enough. Every club has been allocated a section of pits all together so no big worry's there. Also a few of us are share driving so there will be some spare bays to set up some seats and chill out.
  6. Cool, try and get a few of Dusty and I coming off into the sand pit together.. haha A true test of who will back off first
  7. Yeah there's 3 teams of four competing on Saturday. Gates open at 7am but first run will be at 9ish. C'mon up it will be good to have some people cheering us on

    Scarab

Kim's isn't a genuine Scarab, very nice car indeed though he should be up living on the Coast soon so hopefully we'll see him at some sprint events. I brought his L28 that he built for Targa TAS. He drove down, did Targa drove back and dropped the LS1 in. He tried to pass it off as a Scarab for Targa and I think he was met with a middlefinger
  9. I was up there in February when they were trialing it against the old system. There was one discrepancy where either a team mate did 3 seconds quicker then his most consistent times or something went wrong haha Were they offering the transponders to buy on site or did you have to pre-order?

    Cage

That's pretty damn tempting, T45 is still ok with 2012 regs? If so I might have to move my seat forward a few inches and start steering with my belly~ Currently my seat sits directly in line with the front of the quarter window.
  11. Very cool man, consider yourself subscribed

    Cage

I might have to get you to pop around Matt and give me an idea, I have a pretty large seat and it sits pretty far back, basically as far as it could go so I'm a little worried about room. Jason, I'd be keen to see what it would take to get Lurch up here but I won't be ready until after mid May. Have you spoken to him about availability?

    Cage

Thanks Scando, I might have to look into that option. Patch I'm pretty sure Matts cage is a mid 90's spec cage? but cheers for the offer!

    Cage

Yea sorry bud, left out a bit of info due to the guys in QLD knowing who I am and what the car will be used for. CAMS track work - purpose built. Bonds are great but I'm chasing someone up here in SE QLD.

    Cage

Hi guys, Getting close to throwing some cash at getting a cage put in. Basically I need to know who you use/recommend and what sort of prices you have paid and for what sort of job. I'm expecting $2500+? -James
  16. Who knows, we may have a stroke of luck and still come up for the show.. either way a Case of JD awaits for when I get home! P.S clutch problems for those playing at home.
  17. I'm a little excited.. ha
  18. Lee's 370?..
  19. Sigh - still having clutch problems, at this stage wont be doing anything on the weekend. Anyway, will let ya know how I go Dave.
  20. Probably not worth heading all the way out to watch it fail mate.. haha Would be nice to see Goldy up there. Interested to see the progress
  21. I'm doing Lakeside on the Saturday and will leave the car on the trailer for Sunday. Hopefully i get a chance to give it a wash lol
  22. Cost is $175 for the half day of timed sprints and an extra $25 if you want the practice in the morning. The last few times I've been up the boys have gotten 25+ laps not including the practice. For me I'm only new to the game and so is the car. With work requirements and costs its much easier to pop up on a Saturday or Sunday to have some fun for a few hours then come home. That being said, MP next year and who knows after that.
  23. I've yet to do Morgan Park but I love Lakeside, I plan to run all year in the open sprints once the car is done which is monday/tuesday at this stage and we are running on the 18th (next saturday). Dusty is doing the same in his 260 bus when funds are available. Another team mate in his R34 is doing all year as well with a few QRs in the mix. I sometimes wonder the same things, wheres the love?
