Car has been too busy sitting on stands, I plan to do a run at Norwell soon though. Might even jump on the next Hardtuned day. Have a ball Peter, it looks like some fun.

Front diff from a datsun 720 4x4 ute can carry the 4.6s - it's where mine came from.

What track's do you run? I know with my 4.6 on Lakeside I'm still on limiter halfway down the pits with 17/40 tyres. I'm considering grabbing a 4.3 for Lakeside and just keeping the 4.6 for MP.

I don't much care for the bet, but let me know the date I'll make sure I'm there, we'll have some fun no matter what!

Myself and a share driver will be going plus another team mate if he's allowed to bring a skyline I'm going to attempt to get Dusty and Cam on board, with Richard? and D3coy that's possibly 6 cars. A lot of guys are doing the P.I reg in august so Im assuming those ones wont do another trip. I'll still drive down in the ute and I'm sure Dusty and Cam would do the same so some seats should be available to hitch a ride if you wanna road trip. So essentially it could work out cost efficient so I will make some calls get an estimate per car and go from there. I'll start another thread in the QLD section when I have some news so were not cluttering up this one.

I did consider it and do know a guy with a truck and car carrier, if you like I can look into it? My main thing is having a car for down there + spares/tools.

I'll do the drive down from the Gold Coast, it's a decent run but it's going to be worth it. Fkn pumped to drive the Island and meet up with you southerners. As for trophys, as long as I win the "wtf is this guy doing?!" award I'm happy.

You should be alright, Lakeside seems to run on its own weather system I won't be back up there until Aug 18th? I think it is for Round 3.

I'm running a Turbosmart reg, simple single in/out job and is rising rate. It's definitely looking like a surge tank fix, time to hit a mate up for a favour Thanks for the helps fellas, I'll let you know how I go.

haha yeah, probably just the polish. Couldnt tell you what speed I was doing as all I have is RPM but I was on limiter for half the straight, might have to run a 4.3 diff for lakeside and leave the 4.6 for Morgan Park.

Previous owner had carbs. Nothing was mentioned about fuel dump etc but when Dan was driving I noticed quite a bit of black smoke leaving the corner. Gave me the impression it was fueling up to heavily? I may be wrong.

Hey guys, On the weekend at Lakeside we ran into a program leaving one of the corners (hungry) that if we didn't have an absolute full tank of fuel the car would just lose all power. You can see in the video if you skip right to the end when I go to go up the inside of the porker. Now I automatically thought to myself 'fuel surge, time to buy a surge tank' but remember that the tank we have has a custom baffle at the back that essentially works so the fuel is always at the outlet. The guys who had the tank previously, never had any problems but were also running carbs and not EFI. Another thought that was given to us was that we currently have our return line running to the back of the baffle about 6 inches to the right of the pick up (back of the tank) and that if we move the return to the top of the tank it will eliminate the problem. I'd like some thoughts if you have any as I'd rather not go and set up a surge tank system if all I needed to do was drop the tank out and put a return into the top of the tank. Thanks gents.

The problem was that they put all the shared drivers in the same group, obviously two people cannot drive the same car at the same time .. So Dusty pulled out and gave Dan his number. All the information was provided by Peter to QR months ahead of time, then when they screwed up they didn't want to have a bar of it and just offered us all a full refund. I need to get some things done before the next run but the 21st of June might be a goer.
