Hey guys, So a bunch of us from the ZCCQ will be heading to Lakeside on the 15th of May for a midweek sprint. 15 of us have purchased our own group from QR so we can get out and have a bit of fun. Currently our group is full but if you would like to come up and drive you can still book a spot through QR directly for $135 + licence. (Let me know if you do as we may be able to get you in with the shared drivers in a second group) If you would like to just come up and say hi that would be great as well, I'd say most of us will be up there by 11ish but PM me for my number if you want something more confirmed. Those amateur photographers out there should come take some pics as it'll probably be awhile before this many Zs will be on the track at Lakeside for some time again.

Managed to get up to Jason's on Saturday and get an RB20DET box together for the conversion. On Sunday I got under their and had a look at mounting the box up. I used an OEM tranny mount that I pulled off the busted 'A' box and bolted it straight onto the RB box. Lo and behold the original mount was only 16mm off, so I managed to redrill the original brace which had plenty enough meat on it to mount it to the original tags in the tunnel. While it was up their I measured up a tailshaft and then pulled it all out. The box will be getting a complete freshin' up and most likely a 3" tailshaft will go in instead of cutting down the 280ZX shaft. Still waiting to hear back from Jim Berry about a clutch. Will get some pics up when it is all together.

Depends on how you define roadworthy? They are getting quite rare but yeah it is definitely possible to get one where you don't care about how many holes are in it. Didn't someone just nab a 260 Coupe for around 6k? Think he was from Brissy.

Well that answers that question, I shall hold off. Any other info on them as a mate of mine grabbed them for his Targa build. I'll look into Hardy for sure, do they do a complete shaft+uni or just the uni's? Unsure, maybe I will take a proper look at the kit next time I'm at his place.

Flywheels off, its as smooth as a babys bottom so definitively off to get machined. That was an Exedy HD Button clutch but I have heard good things about JB so I shall have a look. Yeah, drivelines only as strong as your weakest part! Noticed the uni's in the halfshafts have gone as well. Question is do I bite the bullet and grab the kit from wolfcreekracing or just get em rebuilt and take some spares to the track.

So I pulled the gearbox out, whilst doing so I noticed bits of what turned out to be 'clutch' falling out.. The result of skid pan madness is below (clutch did 3 track days) Safe to say, I need to order a new clutch

The OD in the 6-speeds are .76 if I recall? even with the 4.6 diff I wouldnt be a fan. The 20 box is good enough for the power and can handle the torque, they are also dime a dozen.

Hi mate, I may be interested in this for a club car. Just have a couple questions so I don't have to drive up there for no reason Windscreen Replacement – Any chance you have looked into this? Cost? Hows the Paint? Was it recently sprayed? Has it been garaged? Any paint lifting off or peeling? Any noticeable rust since the repair? What motor is in it, 26 or 28? Seeing as the interior has been out of the car, what sort of condition is it all in? No water damage of the sort? Any chance you know if it has an R200 or R180 Diff? Stock Brakes? When were they reco'd? Are you open to a conversation regarding the price? Sorry for the interrogation, figured at least it's some more info about the car advertised if anything. -James
