Sorry Pete if you miss understood my meaning of getting stuck in. My attitude is lay back with a great degree of tolerance. I am going to approach them cap in hand & a big smile. I worked in a similar area for thirty three years so I know where your coming from. She'll be right mate trust me. Regards : Alan.

Thanks Peter, this is what I am seeking some NSW input. No offence to the other states but NSW RTA seem to think that they are the answer to everything. Have been given to understand that the L28 can go into a 260 but not a 240 because of weight variation of the 240 was 10kilo's under RTA reqrmnts .Apparently Nissan was able to get the change sanctioned by the Brains Trust for the 260 was simply because the L28 could be bolted in with standard set up. With regards to previous forums have read up on most I could find but found that most were Vic orientated. Hence the post for NSW input. Anyway thanks for all your input Fella's at least it gives me sense of hope. Going to get stuck into the RTA next to see what words of wisdom they come up with. Watch for the next exciting installment of "The Zed" rego inquisition. LOL. Regards : Alan.

Thanks Fella's, if Nissan approved the L28 engine swap where can I get this information directly from them on paper . As I can then show this to him & the RTA if reqrd. By the way is he correct abt the wheels. Regards : Alan.

Just about set to take my 75/260 coupe for Blue slip, checked out with the guy I was intending to take it to & he has given me to understand that because I have fitted a L28 motor that I will require a Engnrs crtfcte , he said that I should get in touch with the RTA to confirm this. I'm wondering if any of the NSW fella's can enlighten me about this. I was under the impression that because I was using the L28 that I was inside the requirements of increasing engine size under 15% & therefore this would be acceptable. He also stated that I should take the spoke wheels off that I have fitted & put a stndrd set on to pass this reqrmnt. Regards : Alan.

My Grandson has a Suzuki Vitara which has a scored windscreen caused by a crook wiper blade. Is there any way that I can remove this marking without having to replace the screen itself. His next car will be a Datsun 260 after he learns to drive this thing. Ha Ha. Regards : Alan.

Pete , why cant you change the terminal plugs to suite or are you staying original. The switch I have is exactly the same as in fuzzy pic. From memory it came out of a 2+2 but i'm not 100% sure. What abt one from a 280 set up. Might be the best way to ID your hzrd wires at consul is to set a feed back from you blinker lghts themselves. Something of that nature should work. Regards : Alan.

G'day Bryn, not certain but I may be able to help you out. I have a 2+2 unit but i'm not sure if they fit. I remember seeing another type amongst my stuff which may be what you are seeking. Will dig them out over the weekend & let you know. If it's a coupe type it should fit . Maybe the fella's can enlighten us both with regards to what can & what can't fit. Regards : Alan.

Hey fella's, just for the record this is not abt me. I've only had a couple of instances & these were only minor compared to some of the efforts & lengths that I have seen some members go to just to try & assist someone out with their problems .I imagine that they don't expect thanks but it would be a nice touch. Or even just to find out that they had helped to resolve the problem. Same as the wanted adds ,etc .I mean how hard is it to get on line & say "Sold" or I have "Got" what I needed. Still & all it 's a great forum & nothing comes near it. Keep up the good work fella's no matter what. I'm of to Toukley for a week catch you's later. LOL. Regards :Alan.

Hey Lurch , are you suggesting that I keep a list of defaulters. Going by what I have been reading on the forum so far it's going to be a bloody long list. Ha Ha. Nice twist to MaygZ. LOL. Regards :Alan.

I find it hard to understand & a bit disconcerting that some people can put up posts of all different kinds be it a wanted or for sale add. Or seeking advice post ,etc. Yet can't take take the time out or have the decency to acknowledge that they have gained satisfaction or whatever the result may be. Or even a simple thanks for the advice that is offered in all good faith. Do they think that people are just there for their benefit or what. I mean c'mon fellas how hard is it to say a simple "Thanks", or Sold whatever the case may be. I follow a lot of the items that are posted & reply where I can within my scope to help when I can, but I get a little psd off when I follow a post & there is no conclusion to it. To me it is like something out of "The Bold & the Beautiful" a never ending story with nothing resolved & no ending .Just a thought.. Regards : Alan. PS: And no I don't watch it . The Cook does.

Hey Greg, don't worry abt the plastic cover for arm rest, etc. Found one amongst my odds & ends . Hoping to get rest from Bigfella. Regards : Alan

Fella's be wary of stnls steel bolts. If over tightened they snap off ,also even if torque tghtnd they have a tendency to snap off with constant vibration. Other thing is they don't come in speed nut type do they ?. Regards: Alan.
