Hi everyone, I'm not liking my chances but I'm after a pair of 240z rear struts (51mm). It can be bare, no springs, top hats, shocks, etc. I'm located in Melbourne, but I'm happy to pay for postage. Cheers, Adam

Did you buy those Watanabes new? If so, did you have a 4 month wait for them and then the wait for shipping? I was in the process of ordering a set and yeah, there's a 4 month wait plus 6-12 weeks via sea.

I've heard mixed reviews about the FZ201s from Federal and their RSRs aren't semi slicks/R compound, but that's for another thread.. OTR, On The Run Motorsports, on Westall Road in Clayton sell and fit semi slicks and other tyres. Great guys to deal with also.

I just went through your thread and wow.. A white G nosed 240z that gets raced (or at least used to ), it's what I wanted to do to mine! Great stuff, I'll definitely keep an eye on this thread now I look forward to seeing your car out on a track in the near future.

I just read through your entire thread and wow... Your car is absolutely gorgeous. The extra effort in respraying your engine bay has paid off! You mentioned not liking the blue a few pages back, but I personally love it. The blacked out wheels do look good but I agree on leaving it polished to break things up a bit.

Another look at the spoiler which has more of a curve in it it seems (same car as one posted earlier by Gav I believe).

I agree with everyone else, it definitely needs the wing to 'complete' that rear end I've also been looking for a wing and have been quoted ~$255 for a 432 style wing from Japan delivered (fibreglass). Would definitely like to know of a source locally.

Being 18, would this be your first car if you purchased one? If so, I'd highly recommend purchasing one that is currently on the road or close to roadworthy condition because owning your first car with a fresh licence and NOT being able to drive it, that's going to drive you insane and you'll either want to get the car quickly on the road to drive it (unlikely due to lack of funds) or sell it off. If however this is in fact a second (or third, fourth, fifth, etc) car, I'd recommend giving it a crack at restoring one. I bought my 240 when I was 22 (only just turned 23) and I had a heap of people saying, 'it's going to be hard', 'you're going to end up selling it off unfinished', rah rah rah, but you only use that as motivation to get it done quicker to prove them wrong Being a uni student, my income isn't as big as some peoples and so therefore I'm not doing a massive restoration where every nut and bolt is replaced, but more a 'get it up to roadworthy condition' standard first and then possibly pulling it off the road down the track once I've had the chance to enjoy her. I don't know your current situation mate but if you want it that bad, just do it. You'll soon find out whether it was the right decision or not. If it goes wrong, learn to think things through better next time Good luck.

I cannot believe this is still available.. Where are all the people after a clean, cheap 2 seater!? Fair enough it's 'in pieces' but you'd probably pull it apart anyway. If I didn't already take up 2 car park places at my parents' place, I would've bought this lol

I'd like to avoid it much as possible but at this rate, I might have to go down the path of repairing the door myself. The rust has infected the frame as well which is a bummer. I'll give it a few more weeks while I man up and begin repairing my current door

So I decided to repair my hatch and no longer need one. There is one on ebay at the moment if anyone is after one! Only thing I really need now is a DRIVER SIDE DOOR! Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I think I had the same reaction as everyone else when I saw the pictures! I don't think you can get a car in better condition than that! Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you'll obtain a roadworthy certificate for this without an issue.
