  1. Bump. Will take reasonable offers.
  2. Cut and rewelding of struts is to simply improve travel for when you lower your car. Some say if you lower your car more than about an inch or two (depending on spring rate also) that you should shorten your struts. People have shortened them while maintaining the original spring seats, it's not only for Coilovers. In regards to rear arm, since it is none adjustable, you're best off replacing them to be able to control your camber and toe.
  3. They had two minor cracks And awesome price compared to the last two which went last week.
  4. Purchased a set from Japan, no longer required.
  5. Price drop, tail lights and surround/garnish now $350.
  6. I'm not entirely sure how much travel I've got but I did trim the bump stops down. I have read that you only need an inch of bump stop. I don't think I've ever bottomed out and you've seen my car's ride height. Edit: I've sectioned about 43mm off my struts though.. So what I just posted doesn't really help..
  7. I was watching that auction, Gav, along with another which I actually bidder on, and lost lol Very expensive..
  8. Your car looks amazing, Mark. 15s definitely look better on your car. I really hope you can attend this year's classic Japan so I can finally see this thing in person. Just park away from me because it'll make my car look bad!
  9. Gents, the best price I could find for postage to the United States/Canada is ~AU$100 express post international through Auspost. I'm more than happy to package up and post it if you're willing to pay the shipping. Cheers
  10. I've got the 432 style exhaust also and do not regret paying for it one bit. And smiling to yourself every time you see your car from behind.. It's all worth it!
  11. I should really measure them up and get a quote. Six shooter above also enquired about shipping to that side of the world..
  12. Still available. Garnish and tail lights for $400.
  13. It was a good buy mate. I have read the thread you're referring to and have even messaged the guy producing them with no success. I look forward to seeing some pictures
  14. Awesome, thanks for the info, Lynton! I'd only ever consider those NOS covers if my car was in similar condition to Mossy's. I am willing to push my budget to ~$600 for a pair. Ridiculous money for head light covers but I think that's what's missing from my front end..
  15. Everything the fella above me has said, including the contact at ground control. Trevor was awesome to deal with. As for spacers, you will need it even with lowering springs. The lower you go or the more you section off your struts, the smaller spacer you will require. Since I modified my own struts, I made my own spacers to suit out of a steel tube. You can read up on how to convert your struts to coilovers if you're interested in going down that path on my blog.
  16. Do you still have those covers by any chance, Dimitri? And I've also wondered that, Gav.. I have seen a few chrome trims for sale on their own, but could you use those reproduced plastic items in the chrome bits? Going by a few responses on hybridz, I don't think you can.
  17. I have seen a few used set sell with minor cracks also, Gav. Depending on how bad the cracks are, I'm honestly not too concerned about it. I think as long as the chrome trims aren't rusting through too badly, I'll be happy. My car isn't mint after all
  18. They've fetched all sorts of prices but seeing that the last set sold for ~$500, it'll be around that price, George.
  19. Hi all, I'm kicking myself I didn't buy the last set that popped up for sale, but I am after a good condition pair of OEM headlight covers with their chrome trim to suit a 240z/260z. Below is a picture of what I'm after. I know they're quite rare, but I am no drug dealer so please don't ask for drug money. I am located in Melbourne, not that it really matters! Thanks, Adam
  20. Sorry to hijack a little but I'm after a set of covers with the chrome trim if anyone has them!
  21. Hey Aaron, Unless you're talking about getting new needles, the SU carbs are very easy to tune yourself at home. I have done a little bit of a write up on my blog which can be seen in the following link. http://twofortyzee.wordpress.com/2013/07/17/diy-adjusting-valve-clearances-on-an-l28-and-tuning-hitachi-su-carbs/ Cheers
  22. You can transport argon (or mixed) bottles laying in your back seat. I got given the all clear when I hired a bottle from supagas. As for how much gas is needed all depends on how much rust there is and whether you are welding outdoors (more gas). I had the usual rust in dog legs, tail light region, hatch, fenders, doors, roof, and I managed to repair it all with an E size bottle. It included practice, Coilovers conversions and other random jobs. More than enough.
  23. Interesting, thanks. I've read a big thread over on hybrid z about trying to tune out the dip in the lower range and they couldn't find a solution also. Modifications just made it more severe. I'll have to take a look into the OERs.
  24. The issues seem to have arrised once you have a bigger cam, high compression and lighter flywheel, etc. Issues with spikes.
