  1. Seats have been picked up!
  2. I'll be honest, Gav, the wheels never actually got 'sold'. Ben at Otomoto was kind enough to have allowed me to return the wheels in exchange for another set. Only downside is that he doesn't have the sizes I'm after in stock and there'll be a 10-12 week wait. He provides such great customer service I can't recommend him enough.
  3. Watanabes and G nose, both gone! Still have the pair of 240z seats and also have this spare driver side guard. Guard isn't perfect and has bog, again free.
  4. Hi everyone, My '73 240z will be ready to go for a RWC by mid-week and before I give a random shop around the corner from me a visit, can anyone recommend a RWC tester for the old girl? I don't want to go to a random shop listed in the Yellow Pages and having them picking on things that the car never came with! Rear demisters for example. I'm not after what people call a 'dodgy' RWC, I'm just after a friendly tester who's familiar with these cars (or any old car) and isn't going to do me over for an extra couple of bucks. I'm located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne and any help will be appreciated. Cheers, Adam
  5. Free door has been picked up. Everything else is still available.

    Wiper mechanism

All sorted, thanks, Alan. Soaked it in penetrating oil overnight and it's broken free. No longer needed, cheers.

    Wiper mechanism

Thanks, Alan. I'll get back to you on Monday if no one has one locally. The far left piece is really all I need but am willing to take the entire unit. Cheers

    Wiper mechanism

Sorry, to suit a 240z please. I'm assuming since it's in front if the windscreen, it shouldn't matter whether it came from a 240 or a 260.

    Wiper mechanism

Hi all, I'm in need of the windscreen wiper mechanism. Mine has seized up. I'm located in Melbourne and would naturally like a local seller. Let me know what you've got via PM. Cheers, Adam
  10. I bought one of them bumpers, Ben. They fit without an issue, only downside was their service. Took a while for them to post it out because it was 'too hard'. No complaints otherwise.
  11. I'm in Keysborough mate. Flick me a PM to arrange pick up. Cheers Edit: Also have a 2 seater passenger side door, bare, plus rust. Ready to be thrown out. With a fresh door skin, it should be good..
  12. G-nose is on hold for benny. Edit: I also have a pair of '73 240z seats. They're in really bad condition and don't have rails. If anyone's after it for reclining bits and whatever else, come and grab it otherwise they're going in the bin.
  13. Hi all, I've had a change of heart and these are now up for sale. Both items are located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Postage can be provided at the buyer's expense, but obviously pickup is preferred. Contact can be made here or via PM. Item 1: Brand new RS Watanabe R-type wheels. 15x9.5 -19 15x9.0 -13 4x114.3 PCD Silver with polished lip. Wheels are BRAND NEW, they have not been fitted to a car, have not had tyres mounted to them. They have only been taken out of their plastic bags from the box to have photos taken of them, nothing else. I had plans to install ZG flares on my 240, but the guards are in too good of a condition to hack off. Will trade for a set of 15x8.5 R-types, with cash adjustment depending on condition. I am after $2250 for the set. SOLD Item 2: ZG nose cone to suit S30s. I purchased this off Dimitri a few months ago with the plan of going the ZG nose with ZG flares, but since the change of heart with the flares, it only makes sense to keep the standard front. I am only looking for what I paid for it, so $150 for the ZG nose. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask them. Cheers, Adam
  14. Nice to meet you and thanks for letting me take your car for a spin!
  15. I haven't had many cars, but I've had mine for over 3 years now and it's treated me so well. I've taken it on multiple road trips, into the bush, up to the snow, I've taken her out to 7 track days at Winton.. she hasn't missed a beat. There's no other car I'd like to own that does what the Jzx does for me, it's an all rounder. When the time comes for me to sell the jzx or the 240, I don't know which one I'd choose. lol enough about that though, this is your 260z build thread. Looks like you've got a pretty clean base to start with mate.
  16. Jzx100s have the 1jz And I don't know what your opinion is on high fuel usage but I get an easy 9.6ltrs/100km, that's with mixed city and hwy driving with squirts here and there. It's no yaris but you can't expect good fuel economy and power.
  17. When I picked my 432 style wing off top stage, I asked them whether it was to sit like option one or two and he told me option two, lip hanging over. And I believe the main difference between the BRE wing and 432 is the flat section for the badge.
  18. Awesome stuff mate. I just got my car painted white and I look forward to doing battles with you on track Two white Zs head to head! All the best with Winton.
  19. Hi Lurch, Retro Z (Tai) had a spare passenger rear strut he was willing to offload for ~$50. Cheers
  20. Unrepairable may be a little exaggerated but it's been hit previously directly above the wheel and I've tried hammering it out but it will require a bit of filler to look right (too much filler for my liking). Scoota, a PM will be sent to you shortly. That's a very generous offer, PB. Thanks, but I'll see how Scoota's guard goes. Cheers
  21. Help, anyone? The guard I've got is a lost cause, unrepairable.. There's an ebay seller selling 2! But is located in NSW and not willing to post
  22. Another positive review from me. Dealt with them both online and in person, great service. For anyone who's curious, this is what their shop looks like. And yes, I did walk out with more than I had planned!

    240z rear struts

I'll have to get in contact with him. Nothing worse than ending up with only one side. Nothing's happened to my struts.. yet! I will need them for a RWC.

    240z rear struts

Interesting stuff, Hodgo. That's something I may have to look into. What commodore series did you get them from? 'Struts' for the 240z, I am referring to the below. They house the shock absorbers. I am after a pair of these to suit the 240z, 51mm. And below is what I am referring to as a 'shock' because it is a shock absorber. Not what I'm after because I've already got a set of Konis. Hope that clears up any confusion.
