  1. I got that bit ok mate its just the internal part of the mechanism with the spring etc. What is that supposed to do. One set is totally sized one way. I cant figure what the spring is supposed to do.
  2. Ok now I am stumped. as per the following pic I am trying to work out how the wiper mechinism works. this the bit that attaches to the motor arm. The one out of the car rotates one way but locks up when turned the opposite direction. The spare turns both directions no probs. There is a spring of some sorts in the mix as well . Can anyone point me in the right direction here please.
  3. I will say no more until it has been blasted. I think George's may have been better than this one. Good luck to the new owner anyway and start a build thread honto pronto to keep us updated.
  4. Sorry Greg all I can say is have another look at the pics of this car. $200k is the only thing that is going to make it look any good if that and then you are only going to have a bit of metal with a number that was never going part of the original car you are building from this rusty wreck.Thank God the block is make of thicker metal than the body so that number should last longer. I love the two tie down straps holding the front together, hope the buyer brings a heap more to pick it up.
  5. What the hell else is he going to do with it. Park it for another ten years and see what is left. Good luck to the buyer. Must have very deeeeeeep pockets.
  6. Wouldn't like to have an accident in it unless it was professionally done. Track car maybe would be an option with full cage etc. to hold it altogether.
  7. I still can't believe that after cutting out the body serial number and welding it into another shell you can call this the same car. Bull crap. If you did this to a stolen car you would have the police on your doorstep. In other words it would be only be fraud.
  8. Changed my mind. You pay me $500 and I will come and tow it away. Can't be too careful I would have to upgrade my Tetnis shots.
  9. Thanks for the help mates. I am off to get some copper grease.
  10. That's what I thought Peter. Am using bearing grease on parts in pic 1 and have new boots to go on. Not sure what to use on pic 2 and 3 as these have felt bushings. What did you use on these joints mate? Also the part that connects to the motor shaft has a rubber boot over it that doesn't want to come off. Will take a pic of that bit tomorrow.
  11. Need to how many $ mate you are looking for. I will start the bidding at $500 Considering it has SERIOUS RUST issues.
  12. Welcome to the funny farm.
  13. Hi All, After the wipers failed the other weekend, I am cleaning up my spare set and am wondering what would be the best lube to use in both the part the wipers bolt on to and the other parts that have the felt washers between them as per pics. Thanks for advise in advance. Peter T.
  14. Well after all I did rebuilding this car I forgot about the wipers and they shit themselves on the weekend. Not something I recommend driving a long way in the rain without wipers and the handbrake sitting beside me. As it turns out this is a godsend as water has got under all the POR15 I poured in this area and rust is starting to form. The wipers are no problem as I have spare wiper arms and motors, but now I will have to scrape out all the paint and treat it with penetrol and some more paint. That is the hard bit getting into this area. Not to worry I have plenty of time. LOL.
  15. Lofty and Judy desperatly needed the rain at the property for the animals so Dave thought we could help.
  16. Another great run up to Clifton on the weekend although I got lost five or six times. Lots of rain as well and not so good a run home when the wipers stopped working. Great people great Zeds.
  17. So what else is needed to make this work? Old Z Fart.
  18. Did you get my PM ?
  19. Hi would you sell the carbies seperate?
  20. I am OK with that Gav.
  21. This car has been sold to a Z enthusiat . Gav can you please now remove the ad. Thanks , Peter.
  22. Still got no idea what you guys are talking about so I will just keep pushing buttons until I find one that works.
  23. Got a L28 in the shed reconed. New bearings, rings ,gaskets bolts, head job. Parts from SWM. Cost about $5k. Do you want to buy it?
  24. I knew you would know Locky. Thanks Mate.
  25. If the wood/cardboard backing is OK any decent trimmer can fix them up and cover with whatever colour you want. Mine did.
