I am moving house so I need this gone hence price reduction. $12,000 ono. Car sold pending funds transfer. I bought this car from this website approximately 7 years ago to enjoy in my retirement. Well, I am not yet retired and have neither the time nor the inclination to carry the project further. Much of the work is already done and it would only take someone a short amount of time to have it back on the road. When I bought the car it had been parked undercover for 7 years but was complete. I cleaned out the carbies and fuel tank and had her running. The only rust I found was around the rear hatch (which has been repaired) and a tiny hole in the floor pan beneath the passenger seat (this was treated but too small to worry about welding). The car was then resprayed to Toyota colour Bishop Blue Metallic. The interior (incomplete) was changed from off-white to black. It still requires hood lining and surrounding trim and the rear seat needs reupholstering. A spare set of seats also comes with the car. The car has been sitting for approximately 2 years and needs some work on the carbies to get it running again.The car is located on the Gold Coast. Phone 0414649548 anytime. Hi I am nearing the end of my rebuild but still need a few bits. I live on the Gold Coast and work in Brisbane so pick up is no problem. The items I still need are Rear Bumper, Rear Seat (Black preferably), Tail light lenses with no cracks or chips, Front Indicator/Park Lights, Console, Fuel Tank & Quarter Window Rubber Seals (Glass to Frame & Frame to Body). Hi I was not planning to upgrade my 76 2+2 calipers at the moment but these sound too good to miss out on. Do you still have the Hilux calipers and would you be interested in selling those as well. Will these just bolt on to my standard setup or is additional work/parts required. I live on the Gold Coast so pick up would not be a problem. I appreciate any advice you can give me on this. Brianz

Hi The best advice I can give you is ENJOY. I am on my 4th Z (3 x 2+2s and a 2 seater- I wish I still had that one). I bought mine in March 2010 after it had been parked for 7 years. Fortunately it was under cover and was originally kicked over on a fairly regular basis. I was thinking of a 3 month turn-around to get it on the road with a fuller restoration a few years down the track. The more I got into it the more I wanted to do to it - a great opportunity to learn. It has gone from a sedate Burgundy colour with beige trim to Electric Blue and black interior trim with lots of chrome. There are still a few months to go. I have to say I bought the car on this Forum and have bought many of the bits I have needed on here as well. Friendly advice has also been very helpful along the way. Hang in there and enjoy the ride - it will be worth it.

Hey, this looks like one I looked at when I was looking for my 2+2. The roof was catchy but the rest of the car left a lot to be desired. Too much rust, too much work. I doubt that it will ever be seen back on the road. It wasn't running at the time either. It was sold for $3250 but I picked up my 100% complete, almost running 2+2 for just $4000 and I think it was a much better deal even if it doesn't have a Targa roof. My car was parked for about 7 years but undercover and the only rust is around the hinges to the hatch. I am having enough trouble finding time to get this baby back to registration standard but I would not have had a hope with the other car. Oh, I am also setting up triple Dellorto carbies on a redline manifold with extractors. I have got some info from other members on the possible carbie setup (jets etc) but any advice that anyone has would be gratefully accepted. The car has matching numbers and I am keen to keep it that way so the motor will stay pretty much standard ( except for the carbies and extractors). Brianz

The fuel tank in my 260Z 2+2 is full of rust, do you know the condition of the inside of your tank or has it been sitting unused for very long. That is what killed my tank. Also does one of the radiator shrouds fit a 2+2 and how much do you want. Any ideas of freight to the Gold Coast would also be appreciated. Regards Brian

Do the electrics from the steering column include the blinker stalk and what is the condition of the bumpers. What sort of money are you looking at getting for these parts. I am on the Gold Coast so pick up would not be a problem. Thanks Brian
