Hey Lurch what do you use to cut out sections? Angle grinder? Also do you grind down the weld lines with the grinder? Cheers.

Yep thats the best advice if you want something done properly do it yourself... Good idea to take out window yourself and fix it before installing new one.

Hi, I would have thought that if you used soda or dry ice (CO2) blasting these methods may both promote rust as they use "active" chemicals. Hence bead/sand blasting seems more logical as the beads would be inert compounds and would not promote rust. Could anyone shed any light on this? Cheers.

My rear of this panel is rusted out and I was thinking of removing just that panel and leaving a "C" section so you can treat and paint the inside of it. This section has to be one of the classic design flaws in the zed so if you can paint the inside surfaces that would help a lot. What do you guys think?

Nice work Peter, Whereabouts are you in Syd and where are you doing the TAFE class? I would like to learn how to mig and tig so I can repair my rusty shell that resembles a Datsun! I have a friend who can oxy and you can do a bit of stuff with that if you are careful but not as good as mig or tig.

Unfortunately need a complete box as PO cut and welded the throttle pedal and converted to cable linkage. I am going back to the rods as I don't have the carb setup any more-going to twin Hitachi. Cheers
