    THAT IS F-ING CLEAN
  3. Even when full my fuel gauge reads 3/4. Is there anyway I can remedy this?
  4. This car has also been on these forums from the precious owner. Welcome anyway
  5. I just got some yellow paint matched on my 240Z. It cost $85 for a litre or so of paint enough to paint my bonnet and spoiler, this price included primer and thinners, I did get a discount as one of the blokes that works in the shop is part of the Tasmanian Datsun Owners Club. I just took panel off my car and they took a few hours to colour match it. You could probably take an inspection hatch off. $500 for primer, thinners, colour matched paint and clear coat is probably on the topend of the price range. email Spectrum Car Paints spectrumpaints@bigpond.com for a comparison. It is where I got my paint from in Tassie.
  6. All those things will improve the brightness or dispersion onto the needle. But I think the light the UV LED is giving off is of the wrong wavelength. It needs to be 370nm as the paint is rated for 370nm UV light, not the 395nm the LEDS are currently giving off. If the UV paint on the needle is activated properly, it should give off a vibrant fluorescent glow. The fluroescent glow is not dependent on the LEDS brightness. rbz 260 The heat issue I was talking about would arise from INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS. As these are usually just painted with a special paint that traps the coloured spectrum of light in the bulb and only lets the UV fraction out. I like the point about white vs chrome paint, diffussion vs reflection. Stevo you should have bought the white face dial then you would have no trouble seeing the needle. LOL. I know this is not the look you want though. P.S. A true UV light is invisible to the naked eye it is just out of our optical range.

From Sydney. This is about what these strut bars go for on ebay.
  8. The pictures look great
  9. Yeah sounds good stevo... Maybe you should drive it into a nightclub and see if the needles glow then? Does anyone have a UV light you can lend? I would watch it with those UV light bulbs they heat up lots.
  10. When I said the price was a bit steep, he reckons he used to sell volvo 4 spot calipers for the datsun rally cars for $300 a pair. These people down in tas must be loosing money hand over fist with the invention of ebay. Everything is so expensive to get done here in Tassie compared to mainland prices. I will have to get some better pads, but first I will get them on and installed.
  11. In Tassie I have visited 2 wreckers one quoted $220 for a pair of S13W8 4 Runner calipers which were rusted and still installed on a car. And the other was $240 a pair but he did come down to $220. These were all stored in a bin and seemed to be of slightly better condition. I think these prices are a bit steep, what price do they go for on the mainland?
  12. Rain-X I have found seems to lube up the windscreen and make the wipers go faster as well.
  13. Well we actually ride Wombats to work down here in Tasmania. It is a more stable platform for our two heads.
  14. FULCRUM do these shocks reasonable freight for the following prices. 260z Kyb front $266 Rear $238. reddat is a good ebay seller but to reach his reserve I bet you would have to pay US$130 (AU$190+) add onto that US$50-US100 for postage because of size and weight. I am not sure if you would end up that far ahead.
  15. Read this post. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2672.0.html

  19. Very good. There is a few engineering jobs going with OZ MINERALS. Xstrata is a very good company to work for. Are you going coal or hard rock?
  20. Burchalls in Launceston Tas has these for $45.... white and orange... these models also have a RB engine and other mods. If you are looking at originality, the Kyosho models are the best and most detailed I have seen, they also come with a high price tag.
  21. I have noticed some sellers put a disclaimer on their item. eg. "THIS AUCTION COULD END AT ANYTIME DUE TO BEING ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE" I am not sure of the legalities but I have seen it.
  22. I think there is some positions as a heavy equipment operator going at OZ MINERALS Century Mine. In QLD

  25. For Tein coil overs you will be looking at around $3000. This was just a rough off the top of the head figure given by Jimmy of Fulcrum. I think Fulcrum can do Bilstien coil overs for cheaper. Take a look at this thread Bigmac. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2672.0.html
