  3. I'm with another website, Theres basically 2 community's there. The comunity i run has 150 members and we have no private sections besides admin only. The 2ND comunity has lots of private sections, the 2ND community's growth is very slow. We started out with the same numbers. I understand what your saying there Dimitri, but i have never been a fan of private sections unless its for the admins. I think allowing more personally PM space is one thing to give to donating members, maybe there's other things as such...
  4. If this was me, i wouldnt buy the $1500 one. Wait around something better will pop up. Only problem is it could take 6 to 12 months.

  6. It may be that i have done a fair bit of rigging but to me it's very easy to get it in as one unit. Try lifting 100 odd tonne with 2 cranes and putting the load on all sorts of wierd angles Theres a pic from this thread of roughly the angle your going to want. Tricky bit is the getting the sump past the radiator support and cleanly feeding the gearbox past the firewall all at the same time.   7. I agree about a 2+2 being low priced, but i dont think you would find one in RWC state and reg'ed for $1500 to $2500. As a matter of fact the lowest price one on there is $2850 with no RWC and it is a rust bucket. Going off all the cars available on unique cars, i worked out the average price right at this point of time is $11400 for a 2+2.

  9. I find it easier as one unit, its easier to put together outside of the car. Much harder doing a gearbox while the motor is in. Just remember to drain the oil out of the gear box as the angle it goes on to get back in will run the oil out.

  12. Hi, was looking through some of my datsun stuff, as it was off the road for a long time (15 years) i found the ridgy tool kit and the original service book. Found the first owners name (a girl yay) and its first few years of service history. Pretty cool. The spanners, screwdriver and other tools all have Nissan-Datsun stamped on then. Also i have the factory spare tyre un-used lol

  16. $450 Fibre glass back. Have hardly been used, passenger seat sat in twice maybe and driver seat maybe a dozen times. Like new. Comes with bar's in picture so they are straight bolt into 1977 2+2. Why i say 1977 2+2 because i can confirm this 100% as i made the cross bar's. I would not know if they fit into any thing else. But I'm sure you could tap some new holes if for your application. Harnesses do not come with the seats. Pickup from S.E. or can deliver Melb metro as i go to Nth Melb office every day. Also some fibre glass has been shaved off each of the outer shoulder bit so they didn't rub against the doors. About 20mm but the outer foam has been put back in place and you would even know.

  21. To me it needs to be lowered with the right offset on the rims to fill out those flares, even then im still not sure on the rear flutes.
  22. Hi Evan, i have the same delima's and that's why i dropped the old 2.6 back in. I really enjoyed driving it again. I might do the RB conversion one day but may not as well. I still have my eye on some other makes of cars.
