  1. Sorry, I should update..it has sold..Thanks
  2. I'd be happy to join in when I'm needed...put me down!
  3. Try and run with a resonator in the middle, or else you will get that barky sound. I always used those large cylindrical resonators that look like small cannon mufflers; no droning but just a deep growl with a straight through muffler on the back. 2.5" should be as big as you want to go.
  4. I'll be heading up to the ACT again at the end of April (30th)...anyone needing anything transported either way, please let me know...
  5. Do you still have the Superlites? If they don't go, I'll have to take them...
  6. Geez... No need to find shelter when it rains...just hide under those!
  7. Hoping the funds will allow but yeah...I'd be in it..
  8. I didn't know the previous owner sold it.... hmm that's news to me!
  9. Never seen the words "cheap" and "BBS" used in the same sentence! Best bet would be to get some good deep dish Performance wheels or look for something second hand. Even Simmons second hand demand high prices. Performance wheels are about $235 each for a 16" x 8"...cheaper second hand. Best thing is to check Benzed's shop as he sells plenty of good second hand wheels...
  10. Here's a pic of my cage compared to yours but drawn in thin yellow lines to show the difference. Ignore the line with the zig-zag! Just for a reference if you want to alter as mine is CAMS approved. (yours may be too but just in case)
  11. hmm...I can't see any images? Must be my cataracts...
  12. Just uploaded; its about 3:45 in...hope the link works!
  13. I'll post up the video later today, but Harry (my boss) had his video recording camera watching you from behind and about 150 meters before the right hand where you spun, you can see a puff of steam/smoke blow out from the drivers side then you going around the turn and losing it..
  14. If you really want a rust free one, get one from a LHD zed, American zeds have perfect areas where our battery goes as their battery is mounted on the other side rusting out there and leaving the side you're after clean..
  15. Just measured my pulley, in the "V" is approx 80mm and at the top is 100mm. Outer overall diameter of the balancer is about 150ish I think...maybe bigger.
  16. Lucky...I was about to contact you about it then deal with the divorce....bargain of the week.
  17. Another welcome! That would be a great combo if you can get it all together... very drool worthy...
  18. Its a copy of a Nismo balancer; bought it from Daniel (dazzed). Not sure if he can get any more? It's not on the car now and I do have a heating issue but I think that my cooling fan is to blame. A standard balancer is on the front of my L24 at the moment. With the underdriven one, I never had a cooling issue. I'm hoping to have it all together for the Island so we will see!
  19. One thing I have done with my new motor, is get an under-driven crank pulley; if you will be revving a fair bit then might be a good idea to spin the alt and water pump a tad slower. Don't think they were designed with 6500+ rpms in mind...specialy diesel components.
  20. How did you go Mark? Got it all going? When I left I just heard the cursing...
  21. One thing I do highly recommend is replacing the points dizzy with an electronic one. That was the first thing I changed when I bought my first zed! It helps with many issues. Check also for leaks around the manifold with some WD40 etc...while the engine is idling, spray some around the manifold/head and if you hear the engine speed up a tad, it means its sucking in some of that WD40 and burning it in the engine like a extra splash of fuel. That should tell you there is a leak.
  22. Didn't know paint needed "regular touch ups" to stay on...car hates the colour so much it tries to shake it off... Would've been good to spend some seconds to detail under the bonnet...oh well...
  23. Excellent news! To celebrate the occasion, I recommend a huge burnout in front of the Transport Dept building...hehehe
  24. Just making sure the turbo manifold is OK to use...been told they "sag" towards the middle after so many years of heating then cooling (Thanks PeterMc!! for letting me know about that issue). I will be going over the motor to test fit it and make sure everything else is ok. I'll post up pics of plugs and engine etc to show. Been getting some PM's about price; I'll be expecting around $1K for the setup or there abouts. Depends what we find.
