  4. It will be hard but i'm already starting to piece together my own one
  5. Drivers side still has to receive torque box, rail and floorpan. Owner is coming over on the weekend to work on the inner gaurds.
  6. The owner was aware of the floorpan rust but not the cowl rust. Yea would be good to see you Rob, i'll be here. I'll be applying a coat of POR 15, seam sealer, chassis sealant and body deadener to all the bits i replace but funny enough the body is in a lot better condition cosmetically. I think the most fun or satisfying part is the comparision pictures.
  7. Hey John these should give you a giggle, and Lurch thought i took dales car back a fair bit on the Driver's Side. This camel's back is getting broken. I've really learned so much since joining this club, so cheers fellas.
  8. They teach you this in Basic Welding class, about 3 weeks and a dozen nights of pain after you start.
  9. Ha no doubt, the owner has dropped me a couple of G's for parts but both sides of the cowl were only $136 from East Coast Mustangs up in Lilydale.
  10. Any Australian Standard saftey glasses will prevent flashburn, if you are wearing them!
  11. It is a bit of a task but at this stage rust replacement panels go in easy.
  12. Rust Much? This is where the floorpan problems start with this model.
  13. This one just went up on ebay, anyone here? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240z-Sports-1973-2D-Coupe-5-SP-Manual-2-4L-/120730861315?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item1c1c1ebf03
  14. Hmmm maybe a group buy on these might work. I'd like a set.
  15. Welcome! Do you have some pictures for us to view?
  16. There's another set. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240Z-260Z-Indicators-L-R-/130524235088?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e63d9c550
  17. Dang they look nice like that, shame to install it
  18. Looks like you're breaking that camel's back, well done indeed. Keep it up
  19. Passenger side floorpan and seat pan are in.
  20. Don't be like that, i was out getting parts (beer) anyways. Dale's is only a couple of kays away. Want me to pop em in a box and post em? Just need an address.
  21. Isn't it grand when you have so many people willing to help you out that you require a stick to beat them away. Got two retrieved from "The Cave" how will i get them to you?
  22. Here's a wedding car pair on ebay for hire. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Eleanor-Mustang-Shelby-GT-500-E-Wedding-Car-Joyride-/270748108027?pt=AU_All_Services&hash=item3f09d844fb And this website was just one of the best i found for info. http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howtoguide/index.html Some or the rust repair step by steps are really cool.
  23. That process is what was going to happen to the one i'm working on currently as well as the fitting of an RB26 but as soon as it was veiwed the owner said it stays as is. Eleanor Kits on ebay are $5000.
  24. I think i stashed some under dales house.
