  1. I'll do a short video and put it on utube. Simon M will love that.
  2. Sure are, if you use solid rotors.
  3. Going to have to get the owner (Sam) to join one of our cruises. I have the intercooler plumbed and my next job is to tackle the wiring with this neat little diagram.
  4. I used washers on both my 260Z and dales 240Z to center the caliper to the soild rotor.
  5. I think you've changed bits with the power still connected! Can confuse the ecu. Keep us updated.
  6. Try reset ecu, disco battery to drain power.
  7. Honestly i can't take all the credit, these 200B's are nearly perfect for this conversion. The intercooler, intake and and blow off valve only require two fittings (in transit) to be completed. Next stage will be the wiring and i hope to fire her at the end of this week.
  8. I'll ask him tomorrow. If i can't catch up with him will be later on in the week.
  9. Shouldn't have too many issues picking a set up in your area. A Zed Club Member next to me has a set, i'll ask him.
  10. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-260z-convertible-2-seater-Engineers-cert-prev-registration-NSW-/140639393743?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20bec2d7cf It's disgusting but yet i can't look away.
  11. Thanks again Craig, always great to meet another member of the Zed Community I'll be sure to make a donation to the site for the rims.
  12. Yesterday was a busy day, parts arrived tuesday which gave me time earlier in the week to finish the brake setup. I ended up using modified 260Z discs and hubs but i want to change to 240Z struts on the front to fit the bigger disc. The standard 200B discs are 245mm diameter. The engine, gearbox and 30mm shorter tailshaft are now fitted. The stock clutch slave cylinder bolts straight up and as you can see the shifter is not to far off from where the stock one protrudes.
  13. Any missing pets in your area?
  14. Not sure on the legality of the conversion but i'm doing the whole package so it stops and handles as well as it goes. We only just registered the car a few weeks ago and then fitted a downdraft weber and electronic ignition. It blew the head gasket not long after. We added up the bills to turbo the L- Series and decided the SR20 was a far better option.
  15. Thanks muchly, i'll see you on saturday
  16. Should be a bit of fun I fitted an inexpensive 240Z coilover conversion to the front, an s13 sway bar to clear the sump (which requires a modification to the front chassis bracing) and i'm using 200B hubs with Modified 260Z discs and S12+8 Toyota Hilux calipers. The transmission crossmember is the 200B centre with S13 ends required to position the transmission mounting point back 20mm.
  17. You don't have to take the whole dash out just the stereo and the heater controls. After the heater box bracket is removed you have two nuts on the firewall (engine bay side) and you can pull out the whole heater box.
  18. Check the CFM delivery of a 45mm Carb (think it's just below 400 CFM). If an L series Needed more than that it would have to have a bunch of mods done to it.
  19. Sleeper even with stock hupcaps This one has the non irs i have read you can convert) Check out engine test fit pics below. I also heard of people using R31 or S13 engine mounts but i tried it with the stock 200B items.
  20. I have another major project on my hands which may bear a little more relevance than my last client based work i showed you guys. As the title says i'm fitting an SR20DET to a 1980 Datsun 200B.
  21. These guys are popular http://www.e-go.com.au/home.do or maybe try the auszcar courier service! Someone may be travelling to Sydney on this forum soon.
  22. Yea, could've a least put playboy magazine in there or Zoo!
  23. Gee i'm trying to remember the bag it came in now, might be on my build thread.
