yeah i guess im not that patient. but still hate it. LOL... just seems to be long winded. i rather be doing something else on the car. ie painting but i hate washing the guns afterwards o well not everything can be fun.
-
yeah looks like it went for a swim in the ocean at some stage. poor car. still ok for parts i guess. but i have seen worse.

Micheal u love sanding? Man thats a first. LOL i cant stand sanding actualy thats the worse part of the whole car restoration. mate keep it up. As for Lurch well u got to accept criticism. His been around and knows a fair bit. he is just trying to help as some mods are harder to reverse than others.i guess experience speaks. saying that i accept anyones criticism and evaluate it, not necessary accepting it unless it was a realy good point. since on the forum ive chagned few ideas on my next project thanks to members here. but some are still set in concrete as my experience in that field and I wasnt proven wrong. yet as i always say MY car MY money and Ill do whatever I want to it. u can never "do up" a car to please everyone.so just make your self happy.

Most of the OZ 260z were open diffs from factory. some had R180 and others the stronger R200. Most people option for the R200. This is similar to R200 thats in skylines and 200sx etc... but are long nose type and therefore bit rare and bit $$$$ but u can get a lsd variant of the same diff. just hope u got your pockets stocked up. there are few ways doing this: buying a allready LSD diff from importers or forums etc.......from these models. Dr30 RS turbo skyline, S12 Silvia RS turbo, R31 Skyline Turbo 2door import, and some early Z31 fairlady z 300zx had them too. the later Z31 had viscous type and the drive shaft wont be a plug in play. Other than that u can get the aftermarket centers from Kaz cusco etc.... but be prepared to pay. There are various ratios so chose the correct one. they occasionaly pop on ebay and on forums for sale.

LOL WHOS OZDAT? oh thats right they mostly drive those boxy looking mostly 4 door overated S boxes. (was going to write something bit more insulting bu changed my mind ) yeah wouldnt worry about them. 2+2 advantages hmm back seat "fat pizza" boys showed good use of them in a 260z 2+2 drop the seat and u got a comfy double bed. i can fit 4 sets of rims at the back ( on the way to drift/drags/whatever) and lot of other goodies on a long trip.try that in a 2 seater and still see through the back window. i got both so dont care but as a daily 2+2 is better and ill fight for the rights of 2+2 Z.
-
looks like they supplied the 2+2 since they didnt fit. not sure where my carpet came from but i do recall it was ordered through victoria through a dealer in SA. fitment wasnt bad. but complete for 140 plush pile in heavy duty i wasnt complaining. it included the rear cargo area.

looked like a good turnout. yeah the plate on the last pic is best.

yeah ultra short and notchy. using r32 box with S14 short shift kit and pivot block changed to s14 maybe 15mm movement to engage to a gear very very short.(s14 stick is 25mm further back, helps the clearance on the tunnel and positions the stick closer to original spot) . bit notchy and like above post sometimes have to change slowly for gearbox to catch up, but can slamm through the gears (feel sorry for the gbox though)
-
yeah i did. Adelaide Jap Dismantlers had it.... not sure if still there.

door handles can be purchased new from nissan. at $68 a pot last time i asked. i just got mine rechromed $20 per handle

LOL it would be great but trying to orginise anything in Adelaide in that scale just seems lot of work. having trouble just getting few ppl i know together for a z meet/ cruise. at the bay the big carpark has gone. not sure when u were here last time. lot of buildings and cafes now in that spot. also on weekends unless we hire the oval the carparks are full. there is a small strech of carparks in front of residential properties but police arrives very quickly as residents complain. we trying to orginise one for the 23 nov. details bellow. http://thezgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1306 as for next year ill see if i can get something orginised. i wont be in Adelaide early Jan be in Sydney. so hope some Z nuts from Sydney have a meet cruise at that time.

( i deal almost daily with lot worse than that with overseas proffesionals) mybe shld wrte lke ths 2c how ppl will like it. to Cazbee welcome to the forum and i may have a RPM gauge for you. are u missing a complete gauge or yours is not working? let me know.

LOL @ above. hmmmmm every one of the mech ones i had were the devil. than again i had few electric fail but becuse of my ignorance letting them run dry. solution to the problem if too much pressure just use a fuel pressure regulator. holley ones are fairly cheap.
-
GOt H4 Conversion with diamond reflector (similar to that hondas used on their cars, glass lens is clear not diffused while the diffusion is done in the reflector check ebay fairly cheap)with 50w/90W philips globes. cant complain just as good as my S14. now not sure if its the H4 GLobes or the Lens itself or the R32 wiring that i have in the car. but the headlights cost me 45+PH for a pair. Philips globes i had lying around from previous wrecks. but they around the 30-40 mark as well for a decent pair.

hahahahahhaha white toyota corrola erm currently 225 16" tyres at the front and fittting 235 17" soon and a daily commuter i wouldn't have it without PS. also has performance and makes a lot of noise (prob too much for a road car) plus my miss can drive it too. got to keep the boss happy. LOL but on the 240z i will not go for power steer. ie simplicity and only a summer car so no need. Joseph nice car. as Stevo said your car do as you please. dont worry what we ranting on here.
