  1. i bought mine for same $69.95us plus almost $30us postage.that will give u a rough indication. though i did see on oz ebay second hand fetching over $120 +PH. hence the reason i bought some new ones from US for a little bit more.
  2. looks briliant.i like the colour. do you have a paint code for that. let me know.
  3. ;D LOL love the responses. Rotary powered Z, ca18 sr20 1200, sluging on the poor old 2+2 and 280zx. LOVE IT. welcome to the site. have to agree with gav don't put a wankel in a 240z. though i do believe rotaries should stay in Mazdas and nissan engines in Datsuns. i was going to do a bad sin. buy a rx4 coupe and install a SR20det. but couldnt find one so got a 260z and installed an RB instead. prob best decision i made than after i did buy a RX4 but keeping it rotary powered. 2+2 just think of all the suitcases u can fit when u go to photoshoots or whatever u need to lug accross. also its handy in drive ins ur BF will like it. i should stop now. good luck with the purchase.
  4. ive got a set of brand new headlight covers that i got from US. was going to install it on my car but since changed my mind (ermm to slack to install them even though they prob wont take more than 5min to install both ) been siting in cupboard make me an offer i may be tempted to sell them.
  5. yep. good buy. damn if only i didnt have all my storage allready taken up.
  6. i did mine for pretty much similar reasons but i wanted 4spot brakes and 5 stud wheel conversion. so mazda fit the bill. other than that stock mazda strut has small diameter bottom spring seat which helps clearance for wider wheels. due to engineering reasons and cost i retained my stock subframe.slightly modded to accomodate subi power steer rack and some lower arms adjustment bolts. the mods of the lower control arm was minimal and within guidelines (in SA) to avoid getting an engineering company to do the work.plus in case of a misshap i can source the parts quite easily. pretty much just a bolt up job. also like u said aftermarket support for rx7 for suspension and brakes is huge. so an even better upgrade is just around the corner. as for climate controll. Bit of a pain in the rear end. not hard but takes lot of time to setup.it does work and does have one or two limitations. but for basic operation works like a treat. currently one of my stepper motors is playing up needs replacing so i can get my demistere option working with press of a button. Only if the fan had enough power to blow bit harder and stock Z vents designed properly would be even better...... lol
  7. geez not bad at all. grrrrr my 240z is some time away before i can work on it,and there is the question of finance. they way things are looking at the moment looks like i may need to sell my 260z to finance the 240z and other toys. :'(
  8. realy nice fab work. are you going to end up using RX7 hubs and struts? ive done something similar but not too that extreem. i used S4 RX7 lower ball joints (they are 2 piece in S4 unlike the S5 one piece lower controll arm with ball joint integrated) i modifed slightly my factory S30 260z lower controll arms so the ball joint can be bolted up. than i used the RX7 hubs and struts with Z top cap and custom spring. coilovers shouldnt be a problem. keep up with good work cant wait to see the update.
  9. whats the price for the 17" u got Lurch?
  10. ooo those F&#^$ $hitheads. yep 60ton mack truck with reverse job stoning and death by electric chair Preffereable all at once. i know it get fixed etc.... but its just a damn nuesance. time and money better spent elsewhere. good luck with repair.
  11. OK guys and gals. hope u got plastic over your keyboards and a box of tissues. expecialy to the lovers of originality Chris240 Look away. i know its gona hurt. this has to be the best pics of the famed 432 i ever came accross the net. ive had to shrink these but do have higher res pictures. also got pics of a blue LHD one which is impresive too but ill post them bit later when ppl recover
  12. pics and fone number would be nice.
  13. i must admit Nzeders flares are best. it doesnt look like an add on and its crafted to match the car features. great job. DocZ nope, but its all done to the specs. just need to get the paperwork through bit slack and rather spend the money on something else man i so cant wait to start working on the 240z now. i think mazda may be pushed to the side.
  14. ROH will do a set too. Ask "Toecutter" for details.
  15. hmmm but people looking at it on the outside wont to be fair. i love the stock s30 dash but...... its not that practical. speedo rev guages are hoplesly low and deep, vents are positioned wrongly they dont work where u want them. lets face it i admit z is great to drive butits not that nice on the inside. i do like the 70s feel on the inside of the Z but i much more preffer the S14 lot nicer to be in.everything works how i want it and i can see everything perfectly without dodging the steering wheel. got an s15 dash and im seriously thinking installing that either to the 260z or may use it as an experiment on one of the 240z. Chris240 sorry mate. cant promise u that. i think ive settled on the paint colour for the early Z with flares and but that last pic of the refined s30 keeps me ticking over i so want a modern looking s30 Z now. only problem i got all those mods wont go too good with RTA when i try get the defect off. hmm need a SA registerable chasis hihihihihih
  16. one more pic of the above car and since i got two of them maybe the worse one i can do bit of experementing to make it look like the second pic.
  17. hmmm came accross these when i was looking for colours on the S30 cars trying to figure out what colour to go for on one of the 240z. pearl white looks nice and i love what this guy done to the car. expecialy the last pic
  18. http://www.thezgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=422&highlight=stud check this post out but the picture tells half the story. there are other bits that u need to know while machining hubs and shortening cvs. let me know if u want any other info about it. Guy in Adelaide did the machining for $200 which was 1/5 the price i got quoted else where. retired mech engineer with massive machines in his shed.hope hes still alive as i want another set of hubs redone. he is 76yo good old school engineer. wouldnt give him more than 60. now this was mainly done because i wanted to use Z31 turbo stub axles and companion flange so i can use my turbo CV drive shafts that came with the LSD diff.also the rear disk brakes are straight of the Z31 turbo. 5 stud was always on the cards and it just came with the rest of it. if u want a slightly cheaper and less hassle version contact member Nato_Chevz240. or something like that. (im sure he reply to this) hes done a realy nice job on his car. it involves removing the original studs rewelding the whole thing and redrilling for 5 stud. on the end look like it was originaly made like that. problem with just removing the studs and not rewelding look unproffesional and bit dangerous. When u redrill for 5 stud some studs will be very close to the edge. another option ive seen is 4 to 5stud spacers/converters. again not legal in all states. check with your engineer.
  19. few more pics with a different camera this time. also link to NDCC galery. check the black 240z learining to fly http://www.nissandatsuncarclubsa.com/gallery.htm
  20. done that to mine. may have to dig up my old posts. i used Z31 turbo stuff. total cost around $600. but thats with CV driveshaft conversion as well.
  21. i think i want a set in white. without the logo will be great. if not too much of a hassle. send me details for payment.
