    I finally finished the rust repairs this long WE, but between the on again/off again weather & the olds having a very distracting 'Inebriated Geriatrics Party' I really didn't get a lot done... Unfortunately one edge I welded did 'suck' in slightly even after cooling the weld down (damnit!), so it'll require a thin skim of filler (BTW my new toy is teh awesome!!!)

    I couldn't find my cam chain wedges at the time, so a bit of old architrave came in handy... Murphys Law I found them after I'd finished the job Anyway, Bruce picked the car up on Saturday - I think he was happy with the result... Here are a few more pics: Replacement VL RB30 starter motor - half the weight of the orig. unit(!), bolts straight in with no mods & turns the motor over much more efficiently. And a couple of pics of the head.

    Ewww... backwards move IMHO. Learn about your SU's & how to tune them. They are actually a very good carb. when tuned right.

    444cc GTR injectors will be perfect for that power range. They are cheap & plentiful.

    Shannons can be a funny. For instance, if your under a member of a AOMC affiliated car club & hold a current CAMS license, I believe they will insure you...

    Reeeeeeeeeeeeeepost. It's probably a good thing you can't afford a Zed if your still on your P's... Buy a S13 or Skyline or something.

    That would comfortably get you a a race prepped 'Sc' Zed, IMHO. However, if you want to win classes/races, a Zed is not the car to go for. Depends on what your after a guess...

    They technically didn't. They just went through various design changes. Typically though the <400 chassis number cars are lighter. BTW I see the OP hasn't posted again. l hope he's found a S13 - that way he wont crash one of our precious Zeds into a tree or something...
