  1. Try refilling & bleeding with Jack Oil. If that doesn't work, pull it apart & replace the O-ring(s). Is it a cheap Chinese one?
  2. LOLZ @ the new swear word auto correct: The 'F word' comes out as 'Fudge'. Sh*t comes out as 'Shiver' And 'F a g' comes out as 'Nancy Boy' Hahahaha...
  3. Buckley's & none. If you want to be a drift fag, buy an S13.

If you wan't to go slower, build a stroker
  5. If anyone has a Zed on full rego. they could lend me for the trip, I'd LOVE to hear from you.

    rust repair panels

They are probably still on Holidays FFS... The Rare Spares floorpans & taillight slam panel fit fine BTW. I can make you some sill doglegs if you like & I could bring them over for you next month...
  10. Lannolen/fishoil Mix
  11. Like this? Yes the tow-ball can be removed. I'd just make sure that it is sturdy enough & can be bolted to parts of the car that can take the strain.

    L28 into 240z

Greg, only the very early 240Z's (with the 71A gearbox's) have the rear output flange. In the later 240Z's they used the 71B gearbox's which don't have the flange.
  13. Top stuff Ovvy baby. Stickied!
  14. BTW, to everyone coming: please make sure you pack a pair of dress shoes. I was told by a couple of bars/clubs in Hobart that I couldn't enter because I was wearing Sneakers Sounds silly, but it's true.
  15. OK... The LHS guard was a little tricky as the innder stiffing panel was G O N E ! So while the outer panel was a doddle, the innder required me to get the ol' creative thinking cap on. Thankfully I had MY Zed next door to test fit the guard on to make sure it lined up OK (which it did). Pics:
  16. Cast Steel. They are a lot heavier than the Nissan 4-spot calipers...
  17. Farkin JEBUS! Hahaha...! Nice 45Deg Zed. Panelwork is OK I guess too...
  18. And you are?
  19. Sadly the police can still issue you with a canary if they choose to, with 'H' plates. Zeddophile, my local car club - Gippsland Car Club 'Sporting Register' has a delegated 'inspector' in the club (who is actually a specialist Porsche mechanic) that is able to sign off on the 'roadworthy condition' of a vehicle that is to go on 'H' plates. So no RWC required. He is FAR more understanding on the rules & idiosyncrasies of classic vehicles, than any dumbarse RW mechanic I've ever met... So yes, they do exist

  21. Dumbarse Nigerians... Just ignore it mate or tell them to piss off. OR you could have some fun with them & string them along...

    Zeds in the Wet

IRS cars get 'taily' when the rear Toe is set at Zero or Toe OUT. Zeds are particularity sensitive to it. Try getting the rear realigned with 1 to 2 Deg. of Toe IN & see see how it feels. FWIW I had my old 2+2 set at 0 deg Toe on the rear, and well... ZZZ8 can tell you how it went on the trip to Thredbo in '09...
  23. The good Rev. dropped into my place this arvo with his front guards that are in need of some TLC... I'll be tackling the LHS guard tomorrow - it's in a fair sorry state, worse than the RHS one... New Panel welded in & the badge holes filled on the RHS guard:
  24. Congrats. http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/DATSUN/240Z/Adelaide/detail.aspx?id=13691913&lid=13691913&pg=1&pp=0&d=0&SG=1354123968&pt=1 Just looking at the pics though; it's got some major rust issues. You'd won't be driving that as a daily for a while...
