  1. Sorry dude, been away from the 'net - sending $$ shortly...

    KHGC110 project

Nice work - not many C110's around these days, and this one looked to be in pretty good shape when you started. It looks fantastic now! What drivetrain are you planning on using? L31?
  3. I know I post cr*p sometimes, but please Lurch, let me be!
  4. Try a leakdown test - that will show you which cylinders are bleeding pressure, where. But those comp numbers are very low - almost down to 'beyond serviceable limits'. If they don't come up with a wet test, then you've got some significant wear'n'tear in the old girl (lots of ring clearance, trashed head gasket, cracked pistons or burnt valves). If they come up, then it's tired rings - but don't expect 180's across the board, it sounds like that donk needs a refresh.
  5. All that really matters is that another Series 1 RHD has been saved... And I have to say, it's in pretty good condition compared to all the others of the same vintage I've seen. (un-restored of course)
  6. The bush also needs to be oil-impregnated - but my money is also on the flexplate spacer problem
  7. Nice work guys - sounds like it was a good day. We like to bag the Vics over here, but when it comes to the old Zeds, you've got it sorted!
  8. I'm not showing, but might be going with a mate (too much work to get the Z done in time and it's a bit hard to arrange a family trip and take 2 cars...)

    LD28 water pumps

From October last year from my local dealer (I get a discount): 21010-17SY7 water pump $175.00
  10. I've got a JB1419 in my 240 - and it's too big for the Hilux S12 (solid) + R31 combo I was running. the 7/8" OEM MC was too small, and the 280ZX MC is NLA here (from Nissan or PBR). I'm hoping that with the 4Runner S12W (vented) brakes up front (4x large pistons) the pedal will be a little softer (i.e just right!)
  11. The ATO don't take duty monies - that's customs. Customs then forward the GST component to the ATO. The details of tariffs is freely available on the interwebs - I remember searching for it only a few months back to see what the 'go' was with car parts.
  12. Double check this, as the duties on car parts was abolished post introduction of the USFTA. Specifically on Jan 01 2010.

    New Watanabe Wheels

Are you going to stock parts too (e.g. normal and locking nuts, centrecaps, T-shirts)? Their 2-piece SS nuts are a nice item (I have them and the mag-locks on my DR).
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if a combination of offset drive and offset plug leads is the issue. As discussed - get the basics sorted and it will all come together. It would also pay to check that the bob weight assembly hasn't broken a spring or lost one of it's balls (ouch!).
  15. awww crap, that really sucks!
  16. :'( :'( :'( Not good, not good at all...
  17. I could probably have a look during the day tomorrow - is that an option?
  18. The 260Z hub (round mating face) vs. 240Z (scalloped mounting face) have different heights. i.e the depth of the disc mounting faces is different between the two models.
  19. lol, every flavour of 70's/80's japanese police car. But I'm not sure that the PDC DR30 Super Silhouette was ever used for such duties
  20. Damn straight! The AZC rear cradle looks fantastic. Maybe I'll be able to upgrade from my powdercoated setup if the dollar stays healthy...
  21. I sent a bonnet to Melbourne using Transfreight with no dramas.
  22. oh well, it was worth a shot!
  23. That's definitely one for the personal library!
  24. You could always buy my DR30 - lots of Nissan goodness, with next to zero work required (mainly 2 new front tyres!)
