  1. Jeez that yellow Hyudai above has more Z in it than a 350z!
  2. i spoke to Warren about special pricing for members and was awaiting further e-mail with details on other parts he had like 5 piece g-nose. did'nt get any further e-mail and left it at that.
  3. It looks like they must have poached some Hyundai engineers to work on that design! :?
  4. I'd prefer the 90 day option. If I got to drive my Z half that in a year I would be happy and if I was driving the car for more than 90 days a year I could easily justify having full reg. CH plates definatley the way to go for me...jeez that reminds me better get my NDSOC membership renewed!
  5. Welcome rosco. show us some pics of the car! Sulio
  6. I would have thought all you would need to know is fuel pressure requirement and choose a pump based on that??? I remember one Z owner telling me that his vapour locking problems went away after installing an electric pump on his Z? Does that sound right?
  7. David bought the car with the motor in it needing some "final" touch's for rego from memory it was a Sydney car. I'm pretty sure I heard that the car he had just sold had at least 25K put into it to get the conversion done properly!?
  8. Cool keep us posted. I've got a mate thinking the same thing, he's also searching for a 2 seater atm.
  9. Yer a zoom can tighten things up a bit.
  10. Nice photo's George. Great hobby especially with digital cameras in that you can just walk around and look for something that would make a great photo with most oblivious to the details you focusing on, sort of forces you to slow things done a notch and really take your surroundings in. I've always thought a medium size zoom lense is good for those street shots as it helps keep people candid as you can take shots from a distance with less notice on the camera. Just post your photos on the sites gallery!? I think it needs a lot more quality pics. Ohhh...so tempting to go out and buy a new camera.
  11. looks fine to me, cant see that its out
  12. I wonder if the game play graphics are as good as that intro, I expect it would be about that considering how good the PS2 was getting.
  13. I really like this 240 turbo jobby. I would take the funny front bar off and replace the wheels with some 16" minilites and thats it. 7's on the front and 8's at the back. Just looks really nice as it is!
  14. David, I like the look of this car. Nice black 240z, very original with L24 turbo motor for sale in Vic, $12,500. How does it compare with the other turbo you found? http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/find-a-car/power-search/search-results/car-details.do?make=DATSUN&model=&make2=&model2=&make3=&model3=&keyword=&priceFrom=&priceTo=&body=&newBody=&transmission=&lifeStyle=&yearFrom=&yearTo=&location=All+Locations&postcode=&radius=&stockNumber=&sortFields=A&asc=true&pageNumber=&searchType=4&dealerId=&featureAd=false&vehicleId=117321&vehicleType=3
  15. Internet must have killed them!
  16. yer just pull that door strip up you won't break anything. The quarter windows will come out and they go back in pretty easily with the old rubbers. I'm sure your rubbers will be ok as it's very hard to damage them as the bulk of it is under the window. I'd also strongly recommend pulling the rear and front window and not just painting over the top.
  17. if your painting the car don't mask any of those things and paint over the top or it will look bob the back yarders gone to work on your car. Just use a fine spatular thats wrapped in cloth to get your badges off. The strip on top of the door comes off pretty easily just give it a good yank it's pretty straight forward.
  18. Yer the majority are busy on weekends and that is why we decided on mid week meetings, there are'nt many people that are pressed to attend on a Wednesday night. As for cruises it's just a matter of posting a time, date and location on the forums and see what sort of reply you get. I'm about to take my car in for the guards to get cut and welded so can't make it to any cruises til after the Nationals.
  19. Hi Mayham, Welcome bud! Dat Nats in a couple of weeks and a meet soon after on the 18th of April 07 at the Jag Club. In regards to more frequent events unfortunately the numbers just are'nt there. Based on previous events there is always at least half of the Z folk that have'nt got their cars on the road when a meet comes up which is fine for meetings but a bummer for cruises. With this in mind we have put together only 4 set days this year for our meetings as it is easy to work with and gives everybody ample time to make it. In regards to organising cruises anybody is welcome to use the events upcoming section of the forum for cruises and I'm trying to get my car ready for more action this year. It's sad to say that the people that often make alot of noise about organising events such as cruises then fail to show up. Hopefully that track record can be bettered this year! Cheers, Sulio
  20. Sexual Sushi, you gotta get some of your Z pics posted up on the galleries for easy reference and for others to admire! Cheers, Sulio
  21. hey sexual sushi that looks excellent! Ah thats Nigels "old" car hey!?
  22. Yer, blue leaf Sid 280 has got it right with his I reckon. Simple formula nice wheels with good negative offset and lowered right.
  23. Hi George, I also enjoy photography but have tucked my Pentax film SLR away some time ago. I use a small pocket Cannon and do a bit of touching up with photoshop, but it sucks not having a zoom so I take the company camera out when I want to get arty. I hope to buy the new K10 Pentax SLR when it comes down to a good price and use my existing lenses with it. I've also been having fun with my miniDV camera. I bought a mini DV camera for video about a year ago and when time allows hoping to make some more Z videos. I hope to organise a cruise down the Great Ocean Road some time after Dat Nats with a sleep over somewhere past Lorne, hopefully get some nice footage of the long sweeping cliffe edge runs. My fave Z shot to date below, this one was taken with a little pocket Cannon digi cam with fixed lense:
