  1. Don't worry Gav I'll get some good pics. Just gotta get the right light! Maybe next week some time Evan!? Cheers Sulio
  2. Jack, This thread might help: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=93343 Where did you buy your set from? Can you give me an idea of what parts you had to change and how much it's cost you for replacement parts? Thanks Sulio
  3. :? hmmm...will do some digging
  4. hi Carl, Windsreens available new still. I think about $260.00 installed at your home by mobile service. depends which side window. door windows are harder to source in good nick.
  5. Wow how good does that look!
  6. Evan looks great. After looking at your car in person tonight I don't think you have mounted them any higher than I have it's just that your rear sits higher than mine. Coil overs would be great but if you want a cheaper solution a couple of LOW set King springs for the rear is only $100.00 new, thats what I installed.
  7. Yer it's the same Italian guy as on the post a few above this one. He's after USD$450 which would be $550.00 Aussie I guess. Warren told me that alot of 80's Alfas had twin Dellorto 40's. I wonder how much the Alfa wrecker would charge for them? Could be like a bit of a treasure hunt
  8. have you got some pics of the result?
  9. Hi Warren, Guys, Your thoughts on these? How much do you think linkages and a manifold would cost? What do you think these are worth?
  10. it's embarrasing.
  11. It was'nt checked, screen print as I opened it??
  12. I've found some more info on the indicator switch that plays up. In addition to this problem I have also recently experienced that lights go out when changing from hi to lo beam. I figure this is closely realted to the switch issue as I beleive there are some contcts located just below the switch that is the hi low beam swicth that plays up. My plan is just change the whole unit over but I beleive there is an indicator switch rebuild kit available for the 240, not sure about the 260. I've copied much of the thread below, also a link to the original thread for those that might experince the same problem in future, (note all pic's shown on the original thread), a pic of the dodgy switch below: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9944&highlight=indicator+switch
  13. Much of that would depend on how much stretch you have on the rear tyres, keep in mind that alot of guys that use this configuration with 16" Wats use 245's at the back. Of course thats an easier fit on a 16". Trying to fit "low" series tyres in 245's on a 17" rim is harder. When I was getting my front tyres fitted I notices three 225 width tyres that looked different widths to each other. Initially I thought it was just a visual trick to the eye but the first set of 225's we tried to mount on the rim would't fit right as the machine could'nt get it on but the second set of 225's, (diff brand), which did look slightly wider fit nicley. Can you show us more pics from various other angles like from the top. Are you sure the flare is sitting down low enough on the body?
  14. that looks really good. all the black looks excellent on the dark green. You mentioned it was sitting higher than mine Evan but it looks like it's t a nice height to me.
  15. Yer I also gave up reading it the first time. I'll have a crack at interpreting this bizzare language! he wants to use his flat tops on his L26 as he is saving the dome tops for the L28 however he has some problems with the flat tops... Haynes manual has been of no help help help ...and the rest is ok enough to understand I think.
  16. hmmm...did'nt work. I'll keep trying
  17. Ah I've avoided using any backgrounds as my icons have a light blue box around each!? Any body know how to fix this?
  18. Oh finally, yer sounds like he's gone down the toilet. What size are the tyres fitted in that photo? Have you got the rear tryes fitted? Dodgy photo that one, can you post some better pics?
  19. too bad sounds like your're reallly ruffing it  enjoy!
  20. If my car was ready mate you would be welcome however I won't be able to make it it for this one as I've hooked into it with bits and pieces all over the place. Dale be sure to take heaps of photos!
  21. Just finished checking your blog, very interesting mate. Some really cool drawings in there. I've burnt a CD ROM full of various pics from all over the place including all sorts of odd angles on the Z you could work with both in and out. You should get it Tuesdayish in the mail. This might sound a bit silly but just a thought for more reference material you could use...I've got sucked in to watching alot of You Tube Top Gear Vids of late and one of the things I really like about that show is the way they shoot the cars in terms of cinamatography. I thought screen prints of some of the more interesting shots with Z subtitutes might help out at times. Anyhow might not be helpful to you but just a thought.
  22. Not that I think it's ma good idea but you can get them redrilled with the old holes filled and welded with alloy. Turns out pretty neat so that you can't even notice where the old holes were. Not sure how strong the wheels end up but I saw this done at Steve's Wheels on Sydney rd in Coburg/Preston when I dropped in with Lurch just to have a look. I would'nt recommend going there that place is a bit rich but I do know of a place in Moorabin that does pretty good wheel repairs. These guys can also roll new outers for about $150 a side so it might be viable for someone looking at these 3 piece ROH wheels you showed. Whats their offset? http://www.advancedalloys.com.au/home/
  23. Well I've got the car looking pretty and over the last couple of years there have been at least a dozen little things that needed attention on my car. The list is actually at 15 now and I'm glad to say I've been able to get through 2 which was rewiring the stereo as it was working intermitently as was the R/H side indicator which is almost fixed. It's been ages since I've put any serious time into my Z and having spent Friday night on it I can say I'm fired up to get it all sorted hopefully within the next few weeks. Forgot how satisfying it can be to tinker with every so often! Sulio
  24. I saw this pic zed24t posted in the galleries and it got me wondering about the chrome rimmed headlight covers. I wonder if they were part of the initial desgn and got cut to reduce cost and offered as an option. Interesting photo. That front guard looks quite different to the production car. Never seen hubcaps like that before either!?
