  1. Hi guys. How can i find out what gearbox i have in my car. Is there a stamp or somthing on the housing itself? I need to change few bearings in it due to excessive noise and i need to find out what exactly the gearbox is. Thanks for your help. Rosco 1971 240z
  2. Hi chris. Ill probably check the speedo cable first before doing anything else. If the speedo was working and then it stoped that could be the problem.
  3. Hi warren. Just wanted to ask who was the guy that did the rust repair for you? I have a problem with the dog legs on my z. Spoke to a guy in oakley, and he is restoring zeds. He quoted me 2k for cutting out the dog legs and rear wheel arches on both sides. Since im just getting in the groove of restoring old cars was wandering if thats an all right price? Advice and recomendations welcome. Rosco 1971 240Z

  7. Thanks for the interest guys and sorry for late reply. got interested in the zeds few years ago, did a bit of research on em and found out what the car realy is. Been looking for 1 for nearly a year then i found this 240. Purchased the car for 7k. It came with L28 engine, 5 speed manual, R200 diff, average paint job, few rust spots and electrical problems. My intentions are to restore the car, definately new paint job, but will take a bit of time and money. Regards
