  1. Yep I'm sure there's a few people with an eye on Rods car. Nice car for those dollars. I hope it stays in Vic! Welcome! Sulio
  2. XQTR, I believe Daniel is only talking about the pistons Pauly is looking for ie new as apposed to used.
  3. I saw this recently. I'd like to see more angles of that concept car before I make up my mind on it's looks. Looks abit off at this angle!?
  4. Yer there is a burnt orange that was quiet common but there is a specific paint code somewhere on these forums that will give the Datsun code for it for cross referencing with. Sulio
  5. Hi Guys, Just a reminder. I've noticed a few of the guys have used the members project journal to keep us all posted on their progress which is great. I know there are many more here that are midway or about to start project cars so just a friendly reminder of that little section that you can use in a blog like fashion to keep us all up to date on your project wether it be a full resoration, rolling resto or modifications. Cheers, Sulio Link below: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?board=25.0
  6. Welcome Tim, sounds like you'll be busy for a while. Just a tip, a good way to keep everyone informed of your progress is to start a thread dedicated to your build in the "Members Journal Section", you can use the thread as a sort of blog on the progress of your car for all to see! Link below if interested: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?board=25.0 Cheers, Sulio
  7. I have seen them up for sale on E-bay before.
  8. Anybody notice the cheesy Z shirt Jeremy Clarkson was wearing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgCPzMv0bEM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZCBrEH6OkY&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mteHgoZwwzU&feature=related
  9. I would expect you could find a tidy 2+2 for about the 6K mark to fit that description but as with all Z's just comes down to how patient you are as the market sometimes sees a bunch come up for sale at the same time which can bring prices down.
  10. sikaflex also comes in white. I've used it, good stuff it can peel off your paint if you use it for external bits and ever try and pull them off ie badges. Very strong
  11. ...or drill a hole in the roof and wear a snorkel! Ah..I've sealed everything up thoroughly and have the rear fin with dump pipe on my exhaust which is pretty new straight from the headers through to the tip and I don't believe there are any leaks. Yer it the the desgn of the rear and when you open a window that venturi effect sucks the fumes from the rear through to the front. As I said I'm gonna check those two large gromets, mainly the one on the exhaust side, I have a hunch that might be the culprit.
  12. Hi Guys, I just finished watching that new Will Smith flick, "I am Legend". Based on the book and remake of the old Omega Man. Anyhow did'nt find any decent torrents on it but an excelllent live feed here. Just finished watching it in bed on my lap top. http://www.watch-movies.net/
  13. I have this problem, same windows down it happens. Many will tell you to check the hatch seal, light gaskets, all the small gromets under the hatch and spare tyre area etc. I have done this also new shoft boot but still get them with windows down. The lats thing I have to check is the two large rubber grommets the 260's have at the rear for tight seal. Sulio
  14. Hi Van, yer long time no hear. We really want to get these stickers sorted soon so it's back.
  15. I still get exhaust fumes at high speed when I open the front windows but if it's petrol smell then it might be the return hose (from memory), I don't have this problem but I hear they crack and fuel from the surge tank can then be smelt all the time. Look behind the inside cabin rear panel where the filler is and inspect for cracks. Sulio
  16. Re the site, sounds like it could get confusing for people re two names going at once. Re sticker, anybody out there in the print game we can get good pricing from once we find a design? Sulio
  17. I'd be happy with a coil over set!
  18. yer sometimes it pays to ask the obvious but I find I make those sort of mistakes also when I do things in haste.
  19. hehe-I'm pretty lazy, don't think I've ever polsihed them just wash em when I wash the car but prolly should geive em a polish soon. Sulio
  20. I like that also Gav but you have missed the .com!?, (perhaps just in small font underneath it??) We have a few now. Perhaps we can put three or four of them up for a poll. We can then focus on fine tuning the one that eveybody likes. Yer AUSZCAR.com sounds like a good change. Might as well bite the bullet and get it over and done with as it will only be a bigger inconvenience as time goes by and we grow further. Sulio
  21. Nice finishing touch I thought.
  22. I know a fella who has the same head and looking to sell. He's located in Hawthorn and I believe he would also want about the $500 mark just for the record.
  23. Now thats more like it. My opinion is this has to be the best effort yet. I really like the second one and thats locked in as my first choice. Good work Gottabeabstract! ...Oh and the other issue you mentiond Gav was the Auszcar.com domain name! What are the technical pro's and cons of this name change as far as already existing links out in cyber land etc? I think it sounds better and probably more appropriate. Make's it clear it's not just about Z cars in Victoria and attract more fellow Zeders. Sulio
  24. Might be a silly question but have you got each caliper on the right side. Remember the air will go up and that bleed nipple needs to be at the top not the bottom?
  25. maybe a more simple approach? To be honest I think we just have'nt got "the one" yet! I like the look of Matt Drago's axamples but it would be nice to mix that up with something resembling the fat Z above!?
