Nah but they do hit the metal at times as I did'nt go vey high with the cut being cautious but I'll cut and weld a little higher as I have another inch to spare atm.

Well here's my last effort at editing Z cruise style video I shot with Evan. It's really practice with Premiere Pro in preperation for the upcoming weekend away cruise in November to Buller. Lookng at the caps I would also say British SU's. I'm not sure how much better the british ones are than the old flat tops but most people install the Japanese 240 carbs look the same with a couple of variations of 3 or 4 screw type, both work same from what I've heard. If you've done some work on the motor and need more fuel I think people change the needles in these carbs (SM needles from memory, as to who sells these needles etc I have no idea). Good Luck, Sulio

Yer I replaced mine recently when the L28 was installed, They also sell them new from NIssan at doble the price of $19.00. Something to look out for also if your doing an auto to manual conversion as the crank will not have the spigot when you pull the auto box off.

74 260's are supposed to have the "ideal" ratio from what people say so it miight be worth repairing. I've also got a 74 260 although when my 2nd gear synchro's started playing up I gave the box to a mate and installed a 280z 5 speed that I picked up for $80.00, works a treat! Sulio

you and another 100 people or so! ...just kidding. Try ZR240 (Ash), for the front lip, He has a few styles that he gets made up from FG, ZGav has also got a spare lip spoiler although his in Dublin but you can try and PM him (username Zgav). PM him look up username. Your prolly aware of the fact you can use the manual gear box from a 280ZX also as you you can various other models like older bluebirds but the gearing might not be right in the latter from memory maybe some mount issues also. hehe - yer having footage of the Z is great because I really enjoy putting these little videos together but I do mess around with the speed settings to give it a more interesting look and sound. I hope to get some good footage for the November run and Evan has also got his camera and pod mount working well so we should be able to put together a pretty fun filled winding road video of our weekend! Thanks guys. Did'nt get time to buy the mic but I will. I made a seperate engine audio track by sticking the camera in my engine bay and hooning around my neigbourhood to later edit it in as the engine rev to the vid. Yer Craig want to have it all perfect fo rthe November cruise!

I finally had a chance to try out my new little sticky pod for the video camera. Evan also bought one so we stuck them to the cars and I put a quick little practice video together. I've got quite a bit more footage so hopefully I can put something longer together soon! Sulio

Any further updates on this November cruise? Perhaps a firming up of the dates? I believe Nov 9 is a Friday. My 20c worth; It might be a good idea to leave on the morning of Sat 10 Nov and perhaps come back on the Monday 12 Nov? Those that want to leave on teh Sunday could do so if taking the Monday off is hard for them. Any how just a contribution as the dates are nearing of course up to you Craig as I believe you have a pretty good route in mind. I can't wait to use my new sticky external video camera mount. Evan's also bought one so should be able to get heaps of good quality Z cruise footage. I might do a test run this weekend to see how low I can get the camera in windy roads, will pot a vid, ah waffling! Might be a good idea to have people e-mail a dedicated organiser to weed out the flop floppers... Sulio

Be sure to take many photo's for us here should you get a cruise going. I think Craig is organising a 3 dayer to Bulla in November some time!

hehe- yer I'm off to Byron Bay next week so I'll try installing them after my lazy holiday. Perhaps I should have done iyt the other way round as I might need the holiday afterwoulds!

Lets the tuning head aches begin

There was a guy selling 2 x 240's (a green and a brown car from memory) and a 260 2 seater all located in the sth easterb suburbs about two years ago. they were sitting behind the guys business which was a shop front and he needed to get rid of them asap. I went to check them out, from memory Gav also came along with me. The fella was'nt asking for much but all the cars were very far gone as in structurally desimated by rust. I hope it's not the same set of cars in a new location as it might be a bit of an anticlimax. Anyhow, good luck and hopefully this is not the same lot of cars you have come across. Eager to see pics.
