  1. I've moved this to the events section and pinned it for extra attention. I can also create a global site banner to promote this event.
  2. Hi Nat0, I had to move the forum software from /forum to the root directory when I retired the old front page. I believe many of the previous links were of the format: forum/forums/ If you remove the /forum part so it's just /forums/ it should load those pages for you, but if not please copy / paste the tabs here. Google should reindex the site over time and fix the broken links, but I may set up a redirect to handle it. Right now the only redirect I have is from /forum/ requests to go to /forums/ I will need to check the server error logs to see how often old URLs are being accessed. I know it's a pain, hence why I put this off for ages, but after everything slowed down I realised I couldn't postpone things any longer.
  3. Bargain for a race car IMHO.
  4. I believe this car has already sold recently?
  5. Hey guys, Just an update here: 1. We ran some scans to make sure there was no remaining nefarious scripts on the server causing issues or slowing things down. All clear. 2. Upgraded to PHP v7.3. 3. Enabled PHP-FPM support which appears to be a quicker Engine for PHP scripts to run on. 4. I've enabled some software Caching which should allow for faster response of common requests. There is some further tweaks I could look at to improve performance further. (not yet enabled) 1. Enable LiteSpeed, but this has a licensing cost of $20 extra p/month on top of existing plan (which is around $170 USD p/month) - not cheap. 2. Look at utilising AWS (Amazon) as a CDN (Content Delivery Network) - basically this means static files like images etc.. will be served from a server nearby (based in Australia) and should reduce lag times, it may also increase storage capacity for images/attachments. I just have to look at current bandwidth usage and storage to compare costs. But I've been thinking about this for a while now since native storage on the existing host is relatively expensive. 3. Could move hosting companies to Google Cloud, Amazon or Invision Powers native hosted plans. I need to do a cost / benefit analysis on the last 3 points to see if it's worth pursuing. So for now, I'd like to request feedback on performance here over the next week or so? If you notice things are a lot better and responsive etc..? Any particular times of day it's slow etc..?
  6. Used to do squats/deadlifts weekly, still couldn't build quads like that.
  7. For a while I was trying to get www.vintagejdm.com off the ground, as it was to cater to all vintage/classic Japanese cars, but I was too time poor to really put the necessary time into it and it's stagnated for a while now. I am hoping if I can get this site working better (and reduce the hosting costs), I can dedicate some resources and time towards that site and building it up to become a place for all 25+ year old Japanese cars. Since I also own an FD RX-7 and Nissan Stagea 260rs :). I'm sure many members here have had experience with later Zs, Skylines etc.. too.
  8. Also I moved this to the "off topic" section rather than the NSW events sections. Since it was showing on the homepage as part of our upcoming events. :). We do discuss all classic / vintage cars, Japanese, Nissans/Datsuns. I've even been known to post an early rotary or 2 also, but generally we have always been about the early S30Z's at least when we started. Then 280zx owners joined up and ruined the vibe of the thing, but we're ok with that. ;). We've debated catering to later Z's in the past. Generally the consensus is that people thought https://www.aus300zx.com/ already existed for that and thought it best not to step on toes.
  9. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/264408011246?ul_noapp=true Price:AU $750.00 Twin 40mm Mikuni/Solex Carbs.
  10. Another post test from Desktop to review response time.
  11. gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ardross/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z-2-seater/1224173951 Datsun 260Z 2 seater $15,000 @RB26DETT is seller..
  12. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1973-Datsun-240Z-Manual/SSE-AD-5607717 Beautiful specimen, my personal feeling is this is quite under valued. Perhaps worth closer to $60k in my humble opinion and judging from the photos. Asking: $46,500. Body No. isn't stated. Engine No. L24-189430 This would put the chassis no. in the range: HS30 - 103569 through to HS30 - 103612 - which is part of the last 20 or so HS30s I have on record. So right at the end of 240z's imported into the country.
  13. Caching is enabled now, and it seems to be a lot faster suddenly.
  14. Not me, but via club mail this morning. Hi Guys We are the manufacturer of Optima Batteries and have launched our very first “Search for the Ultimate Street Car Event” in Australia following on from the strong success we have in the USA running this series for over 9 years. There are three different sections for the event which can nominate in or out of when you register: · Track events · Sound & Vision · Show & Shine We have awesome overall prizes and trophies on the day. Grand Champion winner will be sent to the SEMA Show and a guest at the final of the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational in the USA. It is very low cost to enter and thought it maybe something you and your members may like to participate in. http://driveusca.com/optima-au/
  15. Yes Top Stage is still around. https://topstage.com/
  16. Thanks, but it's still too slow for my liking.
  17. This test says it all to me. https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=www.viczcar.com I feel that when I first installed the new software it was much faster.
  18. Does cycling into work count?
  19. Post speed test from mobile network.
  20. Home page has a new look now. I still feel the site is slower than it should be.
  21. Yes I know, I've just moved the software into the root directory now so it should be back to normal.
  22. Hmmm just noticed a really long delay in post time again.. Seems there is still some kind of underlying problems.
  23. Yes I think I'll move to Invision's own hosting. The whole site is now Invision Suite powered. But I have to learn how to use it to customise the homepage etc.. no time to learn like the present haha.
  24. Test posting speed.
  25. Just ran some updates, the index needs to be rebuilt, along with the cache. I discovered a security vulnerability which rewrote a core system file. Looks like some script kiddy may have exploited an old version of Wordpress sitting on the server and set up some rewrite rules which were slowing the site down. Seems a lot faster now I've removed all that junk in there (which was likely sending things into a loop). Wonder how you're going with it all now?
