Sometimes it's the small details...
Let there be light!
I had previously rebuilt the switch incorrectly so it kind of wiggled around and would work with a bit of a fiddle of the switch (angles). Now it has that proper clunk (action) into place.
Had a bit of a peak under the dash also this evening to see if I can make sense of this alarm install.
Since the hazard are being triggered I wondered if the loop back plug was somehow tapped into that part of the loom. But to my surprise the loopback plug was still in place.
What I did notice though re: alarm install was that the wiring appears to be using a splice connector as opposed to soldered. I am not sure if by removing them I have to worry about the integrity of the original wiring or not? But I guess this is what I'll have to familiarise myself with over the next few weeks.
Looks honest, they have a hoist you can use to inspect further. Big bonus.
Looks to have been originally an auto car too. (badge on hatch).
It will have more spots of rust, based on photos shown, but has the survivor vibe going on.
For those doing RB26 conversion, this might be helpful?

Not sure if it will fit our cross-member set up in S30Z's though.

I do know of a Natoli Panel Creations in Sydney (he was my Tafe teacher in Kogarah Tafe), very good, but I don't believe you'll find him "cheap".

He did a lot of work on the last Mad Max film.
You are, but your posting it in a public domain, so up to you if you want it out there.
@NEW240 is Vince's username on here, so you may want to try PM him.
If you don't have any luck let me know and I can pass on his phone number.
Anyone good in Sydney is expensive. Cost of rent, skills required and demand from classic car owners means they can afford to turn away jobs they don't want. I'd recommend looking out of state perhaps Adelaide or down Warragul way in Victoria... I've seen some of the work cheaper shops do and I wouldn't trust them myself.
Got an email about HS30 00096 via club mail, been in storage since the 80s (last reg). Will need new front rails and radiator support sections. No photos yet.
My 71 has an original fender mirror cut down to sit on a door mount. I quite like it. It's the bullet mirror shape.
I think on a modified Z the XY GT Falcon mirrors are a winner.
