  1. Good to see progress, keep it up.
  2. Yeah just a test listing to see how well the format works. I would love to own that Fairlady Z but unfortunately I do not .

  4. Hi Everyone, Although not directly related to Auszcar.com I figured I'd show off a new feature at Vintagejdm.com. You can upload your cars, cardomain.com style. So if you own a Classic Japanese Car feel free to upload it with a description and pics. Just register at http://www.vintagejdm.com/user/register Then after you successfully register add your ride. http://www.vintagejdm.com/node/add/members-ride See some examples here: http://www.vintagejdm.com/member-ride My 240z as a Member Ride profile. http://www.vintagejdm.com/members-ride/146/gavins-1972-datsun-240z Best thing is that all the formatting is done for you, all you have to do is enter the details. Feedback is welcome as I'm considering adding new features shortly. Also note I want to clean up the layout a bit too as time goes by.

  8. As publisher (website owner with ads on it), yes I make a small amount of money everytime a user clicks on it. As an advertiser I'm charged by impressions (amount of times ad is shown). There are other models in place, but this is the most common. I wouldn't recommend clicking on lots of ads randomly, too many from the same IP / address / computer and it will be detected as click fraud and the advertiser will be reimbursed for it. If you find the ad relevant click on it, if not don't . They are more there as a supplemental income, to help cover costs. I dont' like intrusive ads on websites so I try to avoid placing them all over the shop. As a publisher I can't click on them myself, its against the t&c's. I considered placing them above or below the forum pages, but I didn't want to annoy the users of this site. Not sure how much income potential it would boost. Might pay for hosting all together, would have to test it out for a couple of months though.

  10. Forgot to mention also, that I made about $120 AU in Google Adsense revenue (Google Ads on home page). So that helps bring the gap between Donations and Hosting costs down. Thanks for the donations guys, when I get home later tonight I'll see to it that your status is updated.
  11. Hi mate, Really testing my memory on this, those screws on the outer perimeter allow you to adjust the gap between all sides. Just loosen them all and see if you can rotate it so that all gaps are even. You may find that the distributor shaft is worn and loose and therefore no matter how much adjustment you do the dizzy will arc out. When the distributor touches those points it archs out so if your car is running with them touching you will be getting slight misfire. You can probably hear it at idle doing it, its a slight sputter. Best of luck, if you do start pulling the distributor apart be sure to mark everything!!!! with some kind of permanent marker.
  12. Total hosting costs over the last 13 months has been: $584.35 AU Total donations during same period is: $402.54 AU A big thanks to all those who have donated so far.
  13. Thanks mate and thanks for contributing to the site. Glad to hear you like the site so much. I want to be as transparent with the donations as possible, so that's something I'm working on now with Sulio / Craig / Lurch.
  14. This topic has been moved to Website Feedback & Club Discussions. [iurl]http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=3439.0[/iurl]
  15. I think we should make this an ebay thread. What I mean is that any car found on ebay should be added to this thread instead of creating a new thread each time. That way we can keep all ebay ads and history in the 1 place.
  16. A For Sale template, helps to reduce questions. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2518.0.html
  17. My dash in the 72.
  18. Nice car, welcome to our humble community. Did you get her for a good price?
  19. Early 240z's before 71 had a different centre console, this console had the handle throttle and choke in it. The cigarette lighter was also located here. Later 240z mid 71 onward would have had the dash style cigarette lighter. My 72 does. Its more than likely that the dashboard in the car in question was changed over, probably when it was reskinned (from the look of the dash the grain is slightly different than original). Some cars had a few odd ball changes, particularly 71 model cars. Like I've seen a 71 without the rear hatch vents and with the choke and hand throttle. Of course because these cars have been in so many hands, and had various replacement parts over the years it would be not surprise to find odd things like this.
  20. lol, funny thread. So much love for Lurch. PS: Lurch in your status your have Oricle spelt wrong, unless its deliberate or means something. It should be Oracle, but you already knew that right?
