  1. I actually thought it may go higher. But that's still close to $200k AUD. Not sure if BAT charges any buyer fees or just seller fees? But that's probably a reasonable buy relatively to the cost of restoring to as new with all OEM parts. Also given it's a 280z (chunky bumpers etc..) I think it's quite good.
  2. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/datsun-240z-1973/sse-ad-6916028/ 73 240z with the dealer bull bar still on it... asking $60k
  3. I am actually finding the site more responsive, but there is a bunch of background tasks that have locked up and I've reached out to the software support team for help. It may be that they were running certain tasks on the server to try and fix why these tasks were stuck and that may have caused choppiness? The broken images are somewhat related. The site needs to re-index the image proxy, which is 1 of the stuck tasks. This impacts externally referenced images (not hosted here) and has caused them to appear broken. (NB: Homepage PayPal Donate button is an externally referenced image - hence it's broken also). I am hoping once this re-indexing is complete the site should be faster to respond also. Will update you when this issue is resolved. Support asked me to run the latest updates to see if that would fix the issue, but as you can see it didn't. So they are having a look.
  4. Just ran the latest updates.

  6. That was me when I came back from Europe with my Rx7 in tow. Although the company didn't strictly pay for the car. They gave me a moving budget and I tipped in a bit more to send the car with me. The removalists said it was the first time they had packed car parts as part of a moving exercise lol.
  7. @C.A.F.do these work on Mikuni 44s?
  8. Looks like you're having fun without me.
  9. Low mile 280z already at 90k USD. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-datsun-280z-39/
  10. Definitely all the 90s JDM is being driven by our generation (Gen X/Y) because we either had 1 back then, or lusted after them and couldn't afford them. I'm glad I jumped on an FD RX-7 in 2010. As you know I got the Stagea a year and half ago and they have gone up also! I find with S30Z's they have a rally or surge in value, then plateau for a bit, maybe go a little backwards for a bit, then they surge upwards again. I got my red 240z back from @C.A.F. the other weekend and I must say I missed it. They are so mechanical and raw. As much as I love the RX-7 and Rb26 Stagea. Something about the rawness of older cars that cannot be replicated today.
  11. $1k for a $20 umbrella. Definitely a YAJ! thing. I had an AE92 1989 Model Corolla SX hatch. Back in the early 2000s when I was a student. It was meant to save me money so I could put that towards my 73 240z restoration. Sadly it got broken into when I was in a nightclub with friends 1 night and vandalised. I fixed it up to sell it and let it go. I always wonder where it went. I've been looking for a clean example for a while but incredibly hard to find some of these cheaper fun cars now. Most had very hard lives. The Baby Godzilla GTiRs were a car I couldn't afford back then. Would have liked 1. The other cool car was the Honda CRX but they are just as impossible to find now. All shagged. Oh the other cool 90s hot hatch was the Suzuki GTis. I actually saw 1 the other night because the owner is also a Stagea guy. My friends brother had an early 1 around the same time I had the Corolla and my friend bought it off his brother, but it was destroyed at a round-about 1 night. Like the others impossible to find now.
  12. RHD dash on Trademe.co.nz https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/interior/listing/2858133486 Bit of a tricky 1 to decipher. Any ideas? Ha. But first time I've seen a NZD marked dash. It appears half the 240z's over there were originally AU market cars exported over to NZ.
  13. I was looking to get the 123 Ignition set up also but after reading reviews about some mediocre parts on 1 of the Z forums and from Lachlan's feedback I decided to hold off. I think the cheapest option (if you're original points distributor is still in good working order) is to go Pertronix ignitor option. I'm considering it for my white 71 which is very original and I kind of want to keep the points distributor on it.
  14. FWIW I haven't managed to run the update yet. But I've noticed for a while now some background clean up tasks are stuck and not progressing. I've asked Invision Power support to have a look to see if they can fix it. I suspect this may be causing some slowness in terms of response times. I also noticed it broke a lot of images in my own build thread (before I used attachments and would reference third party hosts), I am hoping these issues will be fixed once the background process kick off again (since it will rebuild image caches). Once that's resolved I'll look at running the latest update(s).
  15. HS30 00722 is in New Zealand. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/nissan/listing/2858755884?tm=email&et=45&mt=7F1F0D31-C106-4483-BC9A-C7464ADF110F
  16. I was wondering what you were on about re: umbrella. But now I remember they have them in the doors like the old Rolls Royce did. haha. Yeah not having that would irk me too, no doubt they are 11ty billion dollars on YAJ! when they do come up also.
  17. Nice, let me know how you go! I forgot about this project. I got stuck on separating the mast pieces and was afraid I'd break the antenna tip off!
  18. Nice score. Best condition 1 I've seen in a while. Seen a lot of average projects in rough shape ..
  19. Very fair price for it's condition. So not really surprised.
  20. I bought 1 and was happy with it. Yes shipping prices suck.
