  1. Did it have an E88 or E31 head on it? Are you rebuilding the motor out of it? Did it have a 71A box etc..?

  4. Won't get any argument from me re: 920 Safari Gold. Shame it only really applies to the first 1000 or so AU delivered cars..before it was phased out. The asking price is not disclosed. POA (Price on Application) usually applies for the high end stuff.

  7. I think the photos look different to previously. But I actually think I had intended to list it here.... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1924-cars-for-sale-3rd-party-sites-ebay-carsales-etc/?p=177208 But never actually followed up on it...
  8. Brett are you racing Jason's old 280z?
  9. I recall the car, we met briefly in Goulburn I think? My 72 distributor had shit itself and I spent the weekend calling around wrecking yards to see if I could get a replacement. Ended up using the distributor from Sulio's car to get her back on the road and drove it back to Melbourne (Sulio's car went on a trailer).
  10. Thanks for helping out but that is something I should have deleted as it is still in reference to the older forum software and I've raised some of the image size limitations from there. In order to attach photos you'll need to use the "more reply options" button to get the "full editor".
  11. Welcome Brett, username seems familiar. Post some photos of the old girl, hopefully she's still getting around.
  12. So just chatting to the paint guy here at my Tafe course. He told me to ring PPG on 13 24 24 and talk to the folks on the phone and ask for the trim colour used on the hubcaps, grille, rear tail light garnish etc.. If they have the code great if not we will use the sample tin spray it let it dry and then come back following week and use spectrometer to try and determine the exact colour.
  13. Hey Scott, So is that 120HP at the wheel out of the L24 with Triple Mikuni's on it? I also went to the website I spotted in your photo. http://www.vintagecraft-e-za.com/ Looks like you bought a jetting kit that comes with tools etc..is that right? Kakimoto valve cover looks nice.
  14. Lovely collection of Early Mazda Rotary's.
  15. Glad to hear it. It's going to be a mission for sure!
  16. S30Z's featured on French TV. Nice silver 71 model. http://www.d8.tv/d8-sport/pid5224-d8-direct-auto.html?vid=1399697
  17. Original hubcaps on it?
  18. Hey Marc, Sorry I should have updated this thread but I have 2 folks interested in these. Just gotta send 1 out and the other I'll deliver next time I'm in Melbourne. If anything falls through it's all yours. Cheers,
  19. Hi Dave, I would ask Alfa Fiberglass in Victoria. http://www.motorsportfibreglass.com.au/ When I was in San Francisco I went with a couple of other S30Z enthusiasts to a guy's place who was selling some S30Z parts. He reckons his father did the original moulds in that widebody style back in the day. The 280YZ kit There was photos on the wall of their old race car. I have no reason to doubt him. I think he said they sold the moulds onto someone. Anyway if you're struggling to find it, I may be able to get his contact details again. He was busy turning a relatively rust free original 240z into a race car. Kind of broke my heart, but they are still relatively common over that way.
  20. The interior is in really good shape and some of those later 2+2 parts in that shade of brown are getting harder to find now. From the photos it looks like it is in good shape but as with many things difficult to know without seeing in person. Personally I think it's reasonably priced.
  21. I managed to meet up with Adam who restored the Brown Hornet. I got the grey paint sample pot off him. Will see if we can replicate the magic mix.
  22. Personally I'd go for a new roof turret, but I'm not sure what your objective with this car is?
  23. http://www.moorhousemusclecars.co.nz/vehicle.aspx?stockno=2098 HS30-00921 and engine no. L24-042669 Sold new in NZ, now located in Malaysia.
  24. I would be very careful with a flap disc you could thin the metal out and put low and high spots in it. Much better to blast with a fine grit media carefully...
  25. Hard to tell from the photos how bad it is, but I think Hydroblasting might be a good option. I'd imagine R100's are very thin metal! Example here: http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/forum/garages/mazda-garage/288725-saving-a-rusty-r100/page2
