RE: Magnesium you also have to get them x-ray checked by a specialist for cracks you might not even see on the surface (internally) which could split apart. Basically they are dangerous. Not to mention what happens when you put water on a magnesium fire! -
I approve of this message!

Probably not the thread for the discussion to be honest. The answer is of course, it depends...

Junk is a translation for used or second hand items in Japanese auctions. You'll see "Junk Treatment" which basically means no warranty, it doesn't mean the item is junk in the true sense..Judging by the distinctive corrosion from Magnesium I'm seeing on 1 they appear legit, however the seller has a reputation (read into that what you want). The wider version as fitted to Z423-Rs and Works rally cars had a hole in the spokes. (These are very rare!) The more common Z432 fitted wheels had solid spokes and were only 5j wide. I found this set in NZ about 6 or more months ago. https://goo.gl/photos/aQrBgmbt9P5P9d8P9 However they were too far corroded to be safe to use and beyond repair. Even these in good shape are blood money... -
Nope. 2.4ltr home market cars with an L24 fitted were HS30's. 2.0ltr cars with L20A were S30's. This car is a Fairlady 240Z-L and is HS30 prefixed for example. (HS30-10052) https://petrolicious.com/articles/this-nissan-fairlady-240z-l-is-a-rare-japanese-survivor http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/37182-hs30-found-and-bought-in-the-states-another-money-pit/ By the way there is also a quote from Alan in there re: start dates and VIN no's for certain production HS30's. Worth adding here also.

I reviewed the ad before approving it and it had a price the first time around but appears to have been amended based on demand..

Importing Panels From North America (Mostly 240Z)

The anodized ones are aftermarket, the ones under my foot are Nissan Sports Option Catalog parts. Refer to catalog here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/13740-datsun-240z-260z-280z-sports-option-parts-catalog/ Someone else is very interested in those and I have passed on details, I am not sure if he's willing to sell them though! Quite rare and hard to put a price on. There was a pair on Yahoo! Auctions recently, not sure if they sold? *Edit found the link from here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14558-the-ebay-thread-2-post-ebay-parts-here/?p=191545 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/243367298 Says final bid was: 134,000 yen (AU$1,695.10) (just for a pair). I think they might have been a front pair (might be harder to find rear's). To be honest it might not be too difficult to reproduce them out of the standard struts (put the stickers on there) etc.. but you won't get that stamping with the part no. on them and perhaps Alan knows what other differences are on them compared with stock? Certainly a cool part to have, especially if building a Z432-R replica . JDM Car Parts does the sticker. https://jdm-car-parts.com/collections/emblem-decal-sticker-nissan-datsun-fairlady-z-240z-260z-280z-280zx/products/datsun-nissan-competition-parts-for-race-only-decal-1 -
I don't think I have any photos of #166 would love to see some! No matter what state it's currently in! Also if you find out what your dad's car is I'd also love to see photos and know it's current state. I'm collecting details and photos of EVERY HS30 I can, as I find it tells a very interesting story of these cars and their condition, colours and specification. Along with the build no's, date of production etc.. often finding batches of cars with close VIN #'s were sent here and any large gaps I assume means cars were exported elsewhere like UK, South Africa or sold in Japan (in some cases as Fairlady 240ZG's and Fairlday 240Z's). It's often interesting that people looking to buy cars ask me for history on them, in some cases I'm able to share photos of them in previous states or find their brother/sister cars and confirm what their original colour was or likely to be etc.. I still need to put a lot of this information into a more permanent database. I had never intended to go down this route, but it's become a strange addiction.

1 man's trash is another's treasure. It's full of stuff in there, some of it worth shipping some not. All the wheels are basically Topy's of various date stamps. I've been asking him to collect them when he comes across them for the past year or 2. The car outside is an early 240z (#1016 I think is the number). It's pretty solid but missing quite a few early 240z parts. The car in the garage is a Fairlady Z-L (RHD) and is basically a shell. -

Possibly the droid you've been looking for? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/16213-for-sale-1976-260z-22-hastings-vic/ -
Hi Hayden, What kind of budget are you working with? I know of a Fairlady Z-L shell (RHD) in the US that could be shipped to Australia. It's been stripped back and is in primer. Floors are shot and has a couple of other minor issues to resolve but could be a good option for those wanting a RHD car.

#675. It's a great car, I spoke to the new owner. He's moved onto a new project. It was taken back to bare metal in the UK and restored completely. Only rust spot was the chassis rail below passenger side. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14448-the-global-z-car-s30s130-market-thread/?p=192710 -
It's clear to me that the 3 of them have very little knowledge of the Japanese cars.

Datsun 240K segment, no sure I'd call the 120Y ugly.
-
I've seen 71b with the flange type output also. I know a guy in SFO that had 1 in his Fairlady Z-L which might have been an option box.
