  3. This C10, may be better than it looks. Rust in front floors but back looks ok-ish. It looks mostly surface rust too.. http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/t580456999
  4. Considering what C110's have been getting over here this seems cheap. http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/o248934865
  5. Pulling the diff out?
  6. Early HLS30 - HLS30 00181 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Datsun-Z-Series-240-Z/292640240059?hash=item4422b7b1bb:g:xc8AAOSwI-dbSRKf&vxp=mtr It's rough...
  7. Photos are available from the last listing here. No Vin # details however. Engine bay colour suggests 73 to me.
  8. I was wondering the same thing, I can only assume the sealant around it got blasted off and perhaps it came loose? Or it was removed and put back on after blasting? Same thing happened with my other cover. Must be a Les Collins mod
  9. More vapour blasting. This time the 2400 OHC valve cover.
  10. What condition are your seats in? They have often sagged badly leaving them a bit to be desired. FD Rx7 seats fit well since the FD is quite small inside like an S30z.
  11. No I'm still in Sydney, the washer jets are in storage at my mum's house up at Kinglake, so if you have no other luck and are in desperate need there's always that option, but I'll need another set back eventually... My guess is you're doing some kind of engine swap.. but I don't know what the cool kids are into these days..
  12. I was going to say same thing.
  13. Interesting...learn something new all the time. Are you the seller on eBay that I bought it off?
  14. If anyone needs a 260z rear valance let me know?
  15. Here is the actual bag mine came in. Tried the part no via Google search. No deal.
  16. I have a feeling it's a 260z water tap, I have had it a couple of years and pretty sure it isn't for a 240z. Although looks cable operated. Anyone recognise it? Can't recall how I ended up with it now..
  17. I joined Classic JDM run by Ash @zr240 from Moorabbin Auto Spares.
  18. I just so happen to have some spare washer jets... Lol...
  19. Nice 73 on BAT. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-64/?utm_source=dailymail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2018-07-15
  20. Hi folks, I thought I better update this thread. I sent off a wish list to Crow in California and we missed chatting a couple of weeks back and I have been intending to follow up with him, I am hoping to this week. Just been distracted between site upgrades, working on my own car(s), my day job and sorting out some other imports for my own cars (mostly). I had 2 rear 1/4 panels come in recently and will need to collect them soon. Just sent payment off for a NOS rear 1/4 panel + a couple of other NOS panels I might use on my own cars. As for prices I'm waiting for Crow to come back to me with prices. I am thinking of collecting deposits for cost of panels from everyone in advance then when everything arrives, will send another bill to cover shipping + costs on my end etc..(this would be 2-3 months after so gives you some time to get money together etc.) So for now I will be able to give costs of panels and I'd recommend factoring in about 30% on top when it arrives here etc.. Giving an exact figure is going to be a challenge for a number of reasons. Exchange rate, quarantine unknowns on this end, final shipping to your location etc.. but will do my best to give a close estimate based on items I've done so far for myself.
  21. Thanks Peter, I was expecting to have to play with timing and the carbs to get it running, but to my surprise a bit of fuel in the chambers and bam she fired right up. I do think that speaking to the previous owner re: immobilizer helped because he told me you have to touch a certain wire to complete the circuit. Which I was not doing before, so I think might be why it didn't run. I think I'll remove the whole alarm system once it's back together and running correctly. Clearly there is still some fuel blockage or air pocket I need to sort, but before I do that I'll drain the old stuff out of the tank as it's gone quite a darkish yellow compared to fresh fuel which has a slight tint of yellow only. With regard to the plastics, the rear hatch struct bar seems to be in the way of getting that plastic in and I felt around and cannot see a way of removing it (the metal bracket), I suspect they were spot welded on the body. Anyway like I say I plan to replace it anyway. The interior will look 100x better with fresh plastics in the correct hue and I am hoping to be lucky enough to find a blue seat base for the driver side (maybe out of a North American HLS30 - which would be passenger side seat) since my passenger seat is actually in great shape. I'm really anxious to get down there again and complete putting the interior back together, get it running without stalling out and take it for a small drive to see how it goes. Last time I drove an auto S30Z was at least 15 years ago I'd say. I recall you saying something about being careful with the auto gearbox, remind me again what I should do to prevent damage to it when first putting it in gear?
  22. Might explain why Singers are so expensive, base 964's are costing a fortune.
