Keeping busy at night time tackling jobs that don't make much noise. Sent off more stuff to get zinced, and have since got it back. Seat runners done in factory black (dark green) zinc plating. Really happy with how these turned out! Found a NOS Bonnet cable. Finished reassembling the car's original TOKICO BMC. Came out great! See photos above for how bad it was. Re-assembled the seat mechanisms back. Still need to get a few circlips and some clear tube to cover the spring to make it 100% proper again. Had another spare mechanism lying around, my original ones were in even worse condition than that! I've found a few more NOS parts that are in transit. Cannot wait until this car is painted and assembly can happen.

Yeah the demo car colour was ok, I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the colours in person.

Mate I really liked the side on view of the body, it has a nice flow from the front guards over the roof to the back of the hatch, I like the back end it look’s pumped with big guards, some angles of the front look good but not all. Interior is well set out, comfy seats and all of the essentials close at hand. Materials used inside looked and felt of high quality for a jap car, I’d be very happy to live with it on a daily basis. In saying that I did not go for a drive or be a passenger in it so my observation of it was motionless. I would love to drive it with that 400hp engine, I just hope you can turn off some of the driver assist safety features and experience some raw power and driving like our old girls.

Instead of the stick on sound deadening have you considered this option as a replacement for the deadener and the jute matting? https://www.carbuilders.com.au/mass-noise-liner-floormat You can then put the carpet over the top of this.
