Peter,

We have a 6 year old girl and she too loves helping daddy in the workshop, so long as the compressor is not on.

I really enjoy those times with her.

Cheers

Nice one Peter. When I poured the concrete for the lower shed, it was 7mx8m and worked my butt of for 3hrs to get a great finish. Came up for a half hour lunch and went down to admire my handy work and the kids had scratched there name in it and drawn stuff. Needless to say I was beside myself. Lol now. It wasn't us daddy. How come your name is in it? I don't know! Got to love it.

I bet you had the same urge. Except yours was to lay some fresh rubber on that nice new concrete. I know I did on the slab for my shed.

Thats gold, an 8 yo than knows the inside of an engine and me a 38 yo that doesn't even know how the inside of an engine works  ;D (well petrol goes in and it goes bang LOL)

So do we get discounts for having the apprentice building our engines?

Looking forward to days like this. My 2 year old loves coming to the shed with me, will get tools for me, just not always the right one.

Priceless. My daughter did a project at high school which involved tearing down a motor and reassembling it. She had as her first car a Datsun Sunny which I built for her that was LOUD as she is a bit of a rev head. My son doesn't know what a dip stick is. So I say GO GIRL. Now my daughter [30] is studing to be a lawyer and loves going for a strap in the Z. 8) 8) 8)

Well done Pete.  Daughters ROCK.

Mine helped me build the shed and is the needle girl when it comes to drenching, AD&E etc.  She is awesome!

Her first engine building session was as an apprentice to the one and only PMC!

Multi skill them, give them confidence and they'll never have to rely on a dumb-arse bloke to help them!

My little guy used to sit in his high chair and play with spanners as I worked on different bits, Now he's mobile everything gets moved around the garage and a few times i've found tools and parts in his bedroom,

My wife found a 10mm nut in his nappy

With a name like Max Power what else could i expect

Agree 100%, I also made sure that my baby sister had the ability to drive a manual for exactly the same reason.

My little girl (6) is already helping me drive by changing gears in the farm ute .
