I went out with a beauty therapist once and she said that the cucumber trick helps with a scratched eye too.  Anyone else heard this?  ;D

Vaseline + cucumber = pimped out eye !!

What exactly is this thread about again?

Sam did it all work?

I have yet to purchase vasoline bro, but my mum had a bottle of sorbolene hand moisturizer - I gave that a go and it seems ok at the moment :D

I suggest you take up Golf instead of cars. It'll be safer for you.

Golf is second only to lawn bowls in most deaths in sport!!!!

In relation to most of this post  --  WTF?????

Have you all gone and bought MX5's and hair straighteners??!!  I'm off-line for a couple of days and you all go left foot on me!  Take a long hard look at yourselves!

Simon these are tried and proven trade remedies, nothing untoward here at all.

It goes inside ya big dope.

If you put it outside, it will get on your sheets.

Simon, what's your prob Bro?

Haven't you ever had something in your eye and fiberglass on your skin? If you have more manly ways of dealing with it. I'm more than happy to learn.

Pete,

What ever way works for you, I take it you had some interesting dreams as a result?

OK, if this is really about fibreglass fibre removal -

When I was building kayaks, have a really hot shower - this opens the pores, then borrow your sister's loufre and scrub with a moisturising soap like Dove.  Always scrub away from the trunk as this is with the nape of the skin and will pull them out rather than push them in.  On the face go towards the nose as this prevents the skin stretching and reduces wrinkles later on.

After the shower use an after shower moisturising lotion or gel.  Ideally one with a nice scent.  The scent doesn't help with the fibreglass obviously, it just makes you smell nice.

Didn't realize you were into building gay kayaks Simon?

But, what if Sam doesn't have a sister?

On a side note, I'd think that replacing Vasoline with KY jelly would be more manly?

I have to be honest and say that this was meant to help Sam and I was being sincere in my attempts to help him but some of the comments here have gone totally off topic.

In all seriousness though, thanx a million John bro - I've heard extremely bad stories about fibreglass and didnt really believe them until I handled it myself.... (My uncle uses a fibreglass rubber to remove lines on PCB's in his lab)

I will shout you a few Corona's next time we meet :D (Yes Corona's are the only nice tasting alcoholic, toxicant consumable liquids available IMO :P)

For those of you who haven't had a good laughing crying session in a long time, this was a classic thread I just read and rolled on the floor in hysterics too.
