Scoota G Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Is there any discussion on the next workshop day? Quote
C.A.R. Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 What would the members like to see done? (Discounting Auto Transmission rebuilds...) Quote
Sirpent Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Just a suggestion I would be happy to assist in if there is any interest........... Panel filler prep sealing application and correct surfacing techniques for those who have completed rust repairs and are about to start the end process. Cheers John Quote
zedevan Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I'd be keen in that John, particularly in seeing how to lower high points, the last panel i was trying to get perfect i couldn't get rid of a couple of high spots (i assume i need to hammer them down a bit?) Quote
Sirpent Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Well Evan All will be revealed if the day gets some support, Im happy to do a couple of panels through the entire process from initial fill surfacing prep right up to pre paint blocking which is probably the most crucial for any paint job. And of course all my tips and tricks along the way. Quote

C.A.R. Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Seems like you've dropped yourself in it John... Quote
Sirpent Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Happy to do so So are we going to circle in a date and venue? Or should we do an advance roll call to see how many first? This will have to be an all day event though and I'd suggest maybe an extended BBQ in between sessions. Also, I will probably prep up a guard of mine in Epoxy Primer for the surfacing tutorial but will need members to nominate a raw repaired panel for filler work and surfacing which we can then lay down some material on, a flat panel such as a door for instance would probably be the most versitile.. Cheers John Quote
peter mc Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 i would like to see you in action sirpent and have a guard and a door that can be used Quote
