Hi All,

I have been watching this at a JP dealer for the last month or so.

http://www.wintel.co.jp/wintel/owa/pspe_stock_detail1?in_categorize=0&in_group_id=&in_shopno=632-1&in_carno=56&in_mode=stocklist&in_designno=&in_cssno=&in_shop_disp=1&in_ref_page=&in_winopen=NEW&in_spc_disp=0

If I had a spare $110K, I would be on a plane today.

Have a look around the website as they have some amazing cars for sale. A very ZG is also available for about $55K.

Enjoy.

dam that's cheap when you compare it to other limited production classics.

Red, Green, Gold (the colour shown aka 920 sometime called Mustard or Safari Gold), Orange, Silver, Yellow, White and then there was the Z432-R colour which was only officially on the Z432-R's

Wasn't there a Monaco GP Marone (spelling?) type colour also?

If you are talking about the Maroon colour - let me quote Alan (I am sure he won't mind) and that Maroon (116) was only a 240ZG colour - no other zed was painted that colour. I have seen Alan.T Maroon 240ZG in the flesh and the colour in pics on the net does not do it justice. It is a brown colour that just does not show up on the camera that well - looks much better in person. Much like Safari Gold (920) which I also like in flesh :D

The REAL Fairlady 240ZG model ( Factory code: HS30-H ) only came in three colours:

*Grand Prix Maroon - 116

*Grand Prix Red - 110

*Grand Prix White - 904

The Maroon colour name was a famous mistake by the Factory. In fact, they had meant to call it "Marron" ( as in the French name for Chestnut ) which is commonly used in Japan when describing this sort of deep brown colour. There's no way that the Grand Prix Maroon is anything like what we would normally term a maroon shade ( there's not enough red tint to it ).

These three colours were set off by the metallic Gunmetal shade applied to the front bumper ( made from urethane ), front undertray moulding ( the whole underneath of the ZG nose panel ) and rear bumper. The rear bumper also had an extra rubber moulding that joined the two corner pieces - effectively making the rear bumper have a runner strip along its whole length.

The Overfenders ( don't call them 'flares' or 'flairs' ) were also painted in the same metallic gunmetal shade.

Yes there were Z432-R. They were a race inspired/prep. Differences included, striped out loom, GRP bonnet, Plastic side windows, striped out interior - no centre console just a vinyl floor covering that also housed the ignition key (so I assume no steering lock PS30-SB either). Alan T from the uk would know more about these JDM specials but I think there are at least 12 genuine Z432-R that can still be accounted for, there are few replica's around (not sure if they are made from Z432 or just plan Fairlady Z converted to Z432-R spec like one project that I have seen ;) )

The Fairlady Z432 ( PS30 ) and Fairlady Z432-R ( PS30-SB ) came in all the normal Factory colours for the Home-market cars from late 1969 onwards:

*901 Monte Carlo Silver

*904 Grand Prix White

*905 Daytona Red

*907 Grand Prix Green

*918 Grand Prix Orange

*919 Yellow

*920 Safari Gold

Interior colours were always Black.

Didn't the 432-R's have different body pressings like the Works cars such as BIG SAM? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=7677.0

As in stronger around structural areas, but lighter everywhere else? I've seen pictures of BIG SAM and the rear trunk area pressings are definitely not the same as a normal S30.

There is some details here:

The Big Sam of today is not the original Big Sam of old. The original Big Sam was based on an ex works shell but that was damaged and today Big Sam is just a S30 shell. The difference you are seeing might well just be standard shell variations.

Z432-R were no different to Z432/Fairlady Z or 240z shells only the works shells were different and that is what makes the work shells so special ;)

Z432-R were different in - less/no sound deadening (weight saving), cut down loom, plastic windows, Fibre Glass bonnet, dual brake MC setup and different pedal ratio, 100L fuel tank and different boot floor = no spare wheel well this mounted to the floor directly. I am sure HS30-H aka Alan T. from the UK can go into more details as he knows more about these cars than I (I know next to nothing)
