There have been a lot of south ozzys lately  :D

Yeah, you seem to be breeding...... most likely with a relative  :P

We should get some kind of beetle or toad or bush, with thorns to try and control you're expansion.

But that would be silly, maybe just some killer bee's or hounds............ or hounds that have bee's come out of their mouths when they bark.

Yeah, that ought to do it!

Welcome Jason and good luck with finding a project Z  :)

The guy selling it said someone from Ballina came and had a look at it, just wondering if its anyone from here? It needs some loving.

Salty, ill see if i can make it, would be good to meet some forum members.

Congrats on the purchase :)

I wish you luck as restoring such an early 240Z is not an easy process - especially for someone (I'm guessing) in their early twenties?

What are your plans for it? I REALLY hope your going to restore it close to Original Factory Condition...

It would be great to see another early number 240 being restored; hopefully with the original L24 in it! Keep us posted. :)

Yeah im 21, My original plan was to add flares and wide wheels, but because its suck a low build number and the original engine is still with it, i kind of have to keep it original. Ill wait until i get it and have a good look before i can say whats going to happen.

I'm surprised not to see the Michael Jackson picture again here Lurch, as you say it looks like it might be a big project.

Good to hear you seem to be seriously considering keeping it original, that early a car deserves it.  If you think you'd rather perhaps steer back towards your original plan, might I suggest putting that car up on here, and see if anyone who has a later project car (maybe even a 260 2 seater) and is after originality, will swap you?  Good luck with the project, whichever path you end up on.

Hey Jason,

Its your car ultimately so just do what you want... with taste of course!! You can still do flares and wide wheels if thats your cup of tea, just make it so you can return it to stock later if you choose!!

If you're anything like myself (turn 21 this year) you want something that looks hot and performs reasonably well!!

The 240z arrived this weekend, ill put some pics up later because they might describe it a bit better than words. There is alot missing, i think im gunna need another one for parts. The body isnt too bad, but its had a few dodgy resprays and theres heaps of bog, so as i strip it, it might get worse. My main concern at the moment is the lack of parts, no lights at all, rear garnish, quarter window, seats, front gaurd, bonnet hinges, boot vents, brake calipers, most interior bits, front lower panel, fuel filler lid, radiator. Thats the main stuff
