Good Morning/Day/Evening (depending when you read this!) All,

Just thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Timothy, 19 years old, and I recently purchased a 1975 260z 2+2, with a twist.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-260z-1975-Ferrari-Red-Stunning-Condition-/170505442065?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Cars&hash=item27b2ea9311

That one specifically, which I actually bought after lurking in the Cars For Sale forum for quite some time. Turns out it was in decent knick, and after an 11 hours, each way, road trip, and after bringing it back across the border to SA, it was registered and has now become my daily.

The twist is the rear seat area has been removed and converted into a lockbox type deal, which while in need of repair, suits me fine, as I am rather sick of playing taxi to the friends anyway, and it probably wouldn't be fun on the wallet with a carbed straight six, rather than a 1.6 4banger to which I have been accustomed.

I digress. Just thought I would say 'Hello' and start spending some more time with you guys, now that I actually have a car which will allow me to participate in relevant discussions.

Yes welcome and congrats on becoming a zed owner. Be careful regarding the rear seat. I don't know the rules down there but here in QLD if you remove the rear seat you need a mod plate. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the car.

Thanks for the seat tip. It went through SA reg fine regardless, which is all I really care about at the moment.

Thanks for the warm welcome all, I'll see if I can get a more recent, less foggy picture up sharpish, I keep forgetting to take one in daylight.

260z 2+2-2 is probably a good way to describe it, I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks guys!

Cool another South Ozzie and great work on pinching one zed back to our side.

+1 for wheels, love the hurricane style wheels look tough.

did Regency give u any grief at the inspection? Doesn't seem like it, so they must have been in good mood.
