Its funny to see that car so straight. I bought it out of a front yard in Jimboomba with grass growing up the sides. You could see through  the boot to the ground in more than one spot, rear wheel arches filled with unsanded bog. You did a good job Greg!

Gees, looking good Greg.

Hate to admit it, but you really have a talent with the photos Shaun (guess you have to be good at something hey) ;D

Is that the burnt out skate rink up near my place?

Is it just me, or is that the wrong sticker on the front dam??  Quick photoshop the right on in!!

Lunar landing - we were already there!!

Zed pulling down statue of Saddam - freeing the world by Zed.

Zed behind JFK??

Possibly the most famous photo of all time is the naked young girl covered in burns running down the road in vietnam - can't see a Zed in that one though.

I'm still thinking ... click  .... click .....

She was jumping to conclusions thinking were hoons ready to terrorise the street.

Sounds like she was well informed then. ;D

Great shot.

By the way Shaun and I thought up an idea. We want to recreate 12 of the most well known photos featuring cars but replacing the original cars with zeds. For example the cover for the Beatles "Abby Road". So get your thinking caps on and let us know which ones we should do. Keep in mind they need to be achievable.

If it all works out a calender might result.

Movies might be a good start, with all the advertising and posters and such that made them so well known so here are the ones that first come to mind.

Back to the Future - De Lorean

Herbie series - VW bug

Knight Rider - Pontiac Trans Am

Dukes of Hazzard - Dodge

Ghostbusters - Cadillac Ambulance?

Blues Brothers - ?

The Munsters - ?

Batman - Batmobile?

Mad Max - Falcon XB Interceptor

I thought about album covers but I could only think of ZZ Top as was already mentioned. :P  The Eliminator album.

Thanks all for the compliments :)

Yep Brad, that's the burnt out rink over behind Kelvin Grove.

Here's one that is a bit more fun ;)

Haha I would be more than ok with that ;)

put televe together and we got a calender for next year  ;D New fund raiser ?

That's the plan. I'm working on a few ideas atm. One is a book of the feature cars of AusZCar but atm the pricing seems to be too high. For a decent quality we would probably be looking at around $300 for a 60-90 page book. That's including a $50 donation to the site for each one sold.

Another option might be a set of cards, around postcard size in a nice box. Maybe picture on front and short write up on the back.  Not sure on the price of this yet.

A professionally printed 12 month calendar would be roughly around $50-$60 with a $10 donation to the site.

Then there is also the option of myself commissioning photo shoots with a percentage going to the site but I am yet to fully figure this out.

Example Pages for Book

I like this concept the best, but I know we will have trouble selling the books at $300 each. Is there any way to reduce the costs (apart from selling more obviously) ?

I like large coffee table style picturebooks and think one full of Z photos would be amazing. I like calendars too but when they go out of date they aren't as useful.

PS photos look badass. You're a lucky man Greg!

You can doa  perpetual calendar, the MX5 club of Qld does one, you just don't put the actaul day the date falls on in the calendar, that way you only need to update it evry few years to keep it resonably fresh.

Greg

have a try at using some gyprock aluminium "wall-mates".....

screw the wall mate into the foam in a position that lines up with where you where looking to screw fix it... (do not over tighten  ::)) and then, thru the fixing frame hole , use a 8guage buttonhead screw to "back-fix" into the wall-mate, thus clamping the wall mate (which is embedded into the foam  onto the frame..
