Guys

I've had the add for just over a month on C/Sales and no one interested. Not sure, just not the right timing I guess..I've reduced the price 2ce and i'm now willing to meet the market (read.. Not Give Away For FREE :) - I'm living in EU so trying to clear the car as i wont be back to enjoy it anytime soon. Offer for someone who just wants bulk of the work done with a honest no rust all new parts (just about) car.

Cheers - Andrew

Think it's just timing, all indicators are that a recession is on the horizon. Not just S30Z's, but other Japanese classics are not really moving and piling up on the market. At least there is only a handful of Zeds on the market at any given time.

Thanks Gav..Yes, I've been through the booms and 'busts' before and this certainly has the same feel. Oh well...Life.....Good to see you're still kicking around ;) - Cheers

Bugger, I just got hold of a Proto Spec from Nissan and was going to sell my "one-owner" 74 260Z I love so dearly to help pay for the new, overpriced Z.  I guess I'll have to tell my wife that I'm saving money by holding onto it longer.   :)image.thumb.jpeg.66185b478e93205f9379f751eeaf1bbe.jpeg

Yep.  I meant that I also wanted to sell my white 260Z to help pay for my overpriced Proto Spec but given that values are dropping and will continue to do so for a while, I'll have to "save my wife some money" by holding onto it.   :)   Most likely the 74 260Z will be worth more than the Proto Spec one day?

I had a 1K deposit on the new Z but when the pricing came out. I asked for my deposit back (that took months just a long story of how dealers are quick to take your cash and hard to hand it back).

I agree with the stock Z as they will come down in price dramatically if you can wait 3-5 years.  (The Nismo will be well over $100K). I couldn’t wait as I’ll be getting too old to keep driving manuals and hoping the Proto Spec model will hold its value much, much better given there will be less than 700 ever sold worldwide.  Well, that’s how i sold it to my wife.  Won the lottery marrying that girl. I’m sure she’ll want some matching shoes for drives although she’ll struggle to find anything decent in yellow.  :)
