It is an actual 2 seater; they were released from 74-77/78. One of the photo's clearly shows the big step behind the passenger seat.

Anyone that knows Zeds can tell the difference by looking at them..

The 2+2 is 19 inch's longer or there abouts. Have a look at the 1/4 window

1. 240z ,260z 2 seater

2. 260z 2+2

The 260 ( AKA USA 280z @ 2753 cc) is a 240 with L26 @ 2565cc against L24 @ 2393 cc

Or 12.2 inches longer @ 0.8 wider @ 0.2 taller was the actual for the 2+2

Jeff = know-it-all :P

Actually, the early 260 2-seaters were just 'updated chassis' 240 shells - hence why the early 260 2-seaters have the lower rear strut towers like the 240 etc ;)

Looks like you got the $15k you wanted on ebay?  I hope this helps resolve some of your business issues.  Anyone on here the buyer?

Fell through, not his fault but ye no sale

LOL

On ya Lurch

For the new 1974 model Nissan introduced an improved version of the 2 seater Z, which carried the 2564cc Model L26 engine

At the same time Nissan unveiled its newly developed 2 + 2 version of the Z, its displacement boosted by 200cc over the previous model, SOHC, new fuel pump, twin carbs etc etc

They kept the same suspension and so on and so on

Cheers

I think it's time to give the thread back to Stef, Oh and XA1973 it's called self control...there's kids interested in Zeds that read the forum and really won't be helped by reading your post.

I will be re-listing the car again tonight, at $14K with a $12.5K start with no reserve for either a 3 or 5 day listing, unless I get a phone call from a member on here that has seen the car before and had put in an offer on Thursday over the phone, an engineer is all I will say. I will wait till around 8pm before I re-list it so if you read this then give me a call before that if you could.

thanks again

Stef

Re-listed, put a $12.5K start but left the buy now as I will replace windscreen, bushes and tyres (if needed) if someone uses the Buy It Now, may be able to organize a roadie (maybe).

so did this sell? can't see why it wouldnt, if i had a just a tad more cash i woulda dropped a bid in, think im a bit shy of taking it off ya hands though

Hey Steff, from memory you were selling the car without a road worthy? Maybe you should consider selling it with one. People always worry about the hidden problems behind a road worthy and maybe that's what is holding them back? Just a suggestion. Good luck.
