zedevan Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 hehe, its the only one where its one car by itself - was trying to name them ambiguously if only i had a tripod and knew how to use the camera properally, but these ones came out alright and they are fun to process! 2 more of the rb26 beast. so how many core is the radiator again? if anyone wants high res versions of their car just let me know, particually Sinisha as i have quite a collection of his, lol Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted February 18, 2009 Administrators Posted February 18, 2009 Awesome Evan, what are the Camera specs? Are you studying photography? Would be great if you could photo all our feature cars for the front page like that? Sinisha, fancy doing a front page article on your Zed, Evan seems to have already taken a handful of shots for it lol. How much do you charge Evan? Quote
zedevan Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 thanks for the kind words guys, down in tassie two weeks ago was the first time i'd tried this kind of photography, and this meet was the first time on cars - there's really nothing to it, except for playing around with the merging of the photos, but its not really any different skill wise to adjusting the levels/saturation in photoshop. you just have to have a camera that will do exposure bracketing (trying to decide which camera i want buy is what spurred me to give it a shot), and a tripod ideally. but i was using my brothers canon 300D with a fixed lense to let as much light in as possible, as i didn't have a tripod with me this limited the photos i could take a fair bit, specially as it got darker. i only really took pics of cars that didn't have another car next to it, so i dont have any of yours sorry rev, except for the engine bay one. pm me your email address's if you want the pics, i'll get round to sending them within a few days. how much do you charge for all you do gav? i'd be happy to take photos for whatever, i'm hoping to give the style my mate does a shot (http://www.tangcla.com/photos/eurotrash_081025/index.htm) as i reakon they look cool, and wouldnt' mind building up a rig for that moving style of shot. ade Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Guys, Nice to meet you all, thanks for your tips and opinions. I am looking forward to starting on the yellow beast. and showing off a few mods as time goes by. Enjoy the drive up to the hills. Ade Quote
620Z Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Some great shots there Evan. I like the two of my car you took late lying down. I wouldn't mind you sending me those two in high res. I think you have my email address. By the way Sinisha I notice in one of the shot's you have a lot of stone chips on your front guards. You should have checked out the mud flaps on my car. You hardly notice them and they do a great job. I know when on the track or a long trip (Thredbo) the tyres heat up and stones go everywhere. Just something to think about. I imported them from the US. Cost around A$60-. Quote
Toecutter Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Evan, you have a good eye for photography. Well done. Ade, good to meet you, yes keep us posted on your progress! Sulio Quote
redrbzed Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 But Craig, that would mean adding weight!!! Quote
FuzzyDropbear Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Wow, some great shots in there! Good to see another strong turnout for the BBQ, wish I had have been able to make it now. Seems like a couple of new Zed's are showing up at each meeting, at least the word is getting out about the forum. Quote
